i think it would be ok for you to dress up and go with the kids yeah, but the legal age limit is 12, after that you can dress up but i would be ashamed to try and get candy after that age.

The age limit is 12. good grief don't be such hogs that you want your teens to be embarrased and make them dress up to get something for free. geesh its for the kids not the teens. Sure they can dress up its fun but for goodness sakes do they really need the candy?

Here in Bullitt County most kids trick or treated until they were 14. I refused to when I was 13, and then felt left out when all my friends, who were older than me, started coming to my door.

There is NOT an age limit in Hardin County for Trick or Treating. It is RECOMMENDED for ages 12 and under, but not REQUIRED. Call your local Police Department, City Hall, or Sheriffs Department next year for more details.

nobody is forcing anyone to dress up.Teens enjoy it! i am a teenager and I am dressing up and going trick or treating this year just as other years. Many of my friends are also dressing up and going. The person you are asking is probably a teen who wants to trick or treat. teenagers do it all the time and there is nothing wrong with it.

Why not go buy candy with money from your paycheck? Hand some out as well to kids!

If you have a problem with teenagers enjoying a holiday for everyone then you're ignorant. Happiness is for everyone not just kids. Heck some free candy may help some teen feel better.

Why stop at Halloween? Why not go every day to random neighborhoods and ask for free stuff?

Don't come to my door. How ignorant. If you have to ask, then surely your brain kicked in to some degree to question the thought.

Wow everyone complains about kids trying to grow up too quickly but then those same people kick them off playgrounds (when they are just trying to play with younger siblings) and refuse them candy on halloween when all they are doing is enjoying what little time is left in their childhood, no i dont think adults should get candy, but there should not be an age limit for children... be happy they are at your door enjoying the night instead of in some basement getting high, let them be little.

I agree with sheesh! Also, don't forget that some kids with disabilities may be older, or look older, but function at a much younger age! My son is 14 and is quite sad he can't enjoy trick or treating anymore. It breaks my heart but he's 14, looks 18, and I'm too afraid of hateful "judgy" adults to let him go.

I agree with sheesh and fun for all... Let kids be kids! And IMO if you are under 18, then you ARE a kid. My 14 year old doesn't want to go because he thinks he's too old. Heck, I was trick or treating when I was 16! What happened to the world??? There is no age limit on FUN people! If a 90 year old wants to dress up on halloween so be it.
