Close it down and fired all of them. Time for a new beginning and start over, it is gone too far to change.

This school was an outstanding school in its day. Now, with new adminstration , it is sliding into the middle and if they continue to stay will end up last. If that is what we want for our school then let ir ride. Do nothing and it will continue to drop. The Principal believes duck you head and not pop up and we won't notice. How can the teachers have pride when they know where they are heading. Change occurs at the top and the top doesn't care. He makes his money why should he do anything. He can't control his life much less the schools.

That fifth grade group of teachers need to be fired!!! There is one that gives hours and hours of homework because she can. Principal won't standup and tell her to stop. He is afraid of her. The others are led by that big mouth blond who thinks she know it all and doesn't have a clue. She will lead them into trouble pushing to the limits and beyond. Good thing she a good friend of the Principal or she wouldn't have a job. Shows what kind of leadership is there.

Related or not related. It should be about job performance and he stinks. Give him and the ones that run the school a few mores years and it will be at rock bottom. Whether they go to a new school or not. If there is no change the new school will be at the bottom just a change in location. When will Hardin County Schools personnel wise up?
here is a big hint

you don't know how it works, do you? let me give you a big hint. it starts with that woman that was moved out of central office and decided to run for board member and then she was elected as chairman. her agenda was to get nanny hired and do some favors to some people. so your griping and complaining falls on deaf ear until you go to the source. remove her from the board and some of her "cronies" (yes people) and get someone in who doesn't have an ax to grind. nanny was immediately put in as an interim superintendent and then hired. i'm not sure anyone was even interviewed for the position. better yet, run for the board yourself. you would be as good as what they've got.

I agree, she promised the world and then when she got elected fell on her face. She grew up with Nanny and they are big buds. We need good people to out her and others. I hope that people step up to the plate and get the job done.

Clean house and get rid of the ones that are not performing. Principal and rest of adminstration then start on the loud mouth teachers that are too busy to teach.

Can't get anything right. Let them go and start over with new staff. Beyond help.
Nanny must be sleeping on the job or busy counting her money. Cause she is not taking care of business. Been in the tanning bed too long and fried her brain
Never getting fixed

Burkhead will never be fixed. For the past 5 years there has been a fight to fix that school but the board can't be bothered and keeps saying it is going to be rebuilt. When there is as big of a mold problem as there is there than the school should be torn down and rebuilt. Kids and adults are being made sick by that school but no one cares and the Principal is worthless. They have replacement tiles so as soon as the black mold shows thru they can change out the tile. My kids go elsewhere because the principal is worthless and the school making them ill.

I agree with Never getting fixed. The place is a dump and there are some good teachers. But, the mold is bad and if you did a study on the ones that worked there and children that got cancer would be off the charts. Talk about making the children's safety a priority. Please!!!!!

It will happen. Then you will be pulling your hair out and want to pull hers. Just look at the schools's homework policy and try talking to the lame duck Principal and see how far you get. Best of Luck!!!!

Nothing like a bunch of mad mamas. I have no idea what goes on over there, but I am glad I am not involved. It only takes a few to create misery. Maybe there is some basis. Some love to crucify because there is nothing like their darling children. I have seen that one many times.

Paint, cleaning and clean house of the lazy people will be the only way to change that place. It takes a strong person to tackle what needs to be done to make the school where it should be and with the present people there- it won't happen!!!!!
Playing favorites and letting the bossy rule will run the school into the ground, if it is not there already. It makes me heartsick to see the school fall from its standing of being an excellent school. As long as it is allow then it will happen and continue to drop. What is the super doing that is more important than making sure the schools are run properly??? I don't get it.

Check there test scores. I have never had a problem with that school and I am proud my children went there. But I have seen mothers/fathers like you. You are an educators WORSE nightmare. The school doesn't do it like you would so they are wrong so you whine and cry, bombard there valuable time with worthless emails and phonecalls, etc. Save your crocodile tears for another worthless cause. The children are just fine!

Polish your own writing skills. The word is 'their' instead of there. Also, dismiss the word 'idiot.' If the teachers used that word, what would happen?

Take a good look at their test scores they have fell for the last several years. Just wait until this one comes out!!! Truth is in the scores. They have fell every year that the present principal has been there. Blame it on what you want but it falls on the person in charge and he is not doing his job. No they are not at the bottom but they have fell from the top to the middle of the pack. It is a shame that the school has dropped and no one is doing anything to change that. Seems the mentality is that is okay in the middle. Sad, sad time for once a good school.
