If you think is so bad I would call OSHA. If I knew anything that was unsafe and wanted to tell someone about it. That would be the people to tell.

yes it involved a fork lift. An outdated standup that probably didnt meet OSHA regs. It very easily could have took the employees life. Something has got to be done. I really hope OSHA steps in.

OSHA has been called and Summit Polymer better be shaking in their boots because they are in violation of a lot of things. They haven't even reported the accident!

The chain of command sucks. the guy did not have his forklift license and his boss told him to move some pallets to a shelf. OSHA has been called before but they came during the summer shutdown and did not see what really went on. I do believe they have someone who calls and lets them know they are on their way. They even tried to cover up the accident by forging a test so the guy could get his license. Imagine that. Him in the hosp. and taking a test. I know I work there and have worked there for a while now. The plant doesn't need to be shut down the bosses just need to realize that they cant play God with people anymore.

I know the guy that got hurt. His name is Luke Emerson and he had a forklift license already. I have been with him at the hospital every day because he is my boyfriends brother and no one came in and made him take a test while in the hospital.

He wasn't certified on the STAND UP FORKLIFT! He was hurt because of company negligence. There are other violations at the plant. There should have been a bar to prevent the fork lift from backing into that space. He is lucky to be alive!

I agree, there is a lot of company negligence. But as long as they (management) are putting money in their pockets, they don't care.

The man that was hurt is doing better, but he had a close call with a collapsed lung. I hope he gets a lawyer. He could've been killed!
