Consider that Honey Boo Boo's family enjoy their life. They appear to love each other and get along better than most families I know. Yes, they are different than most of us. They have fun on some very simple pleasures in life.
All of us are different than our neighbors. I don't have trashed cars in my yard, but my neighbor does. I think chewing tobacco is nasty, but my neighbor chews. I do not do not curse, but my neighbor does. I fly the American flag and my neighbor flies a rebel flag.
In each area of these United States have people of different classes of people and completely different lives.
It seems to me that Honey Boo Boo's family truly enjoys their lives. If they can have fun playing the stinky breath game..so what? Do you not see the total love they have for Honey Boo Boo. I see no jealousy between the girls. I see no teenage rebellion from the teens. Yes, their 17 year old is pregnant....but so are many of teens of wealthy parents. I'm sure that the family will embrace the new baby, three thumbs and all. I'm sure that they are sad that the baby has a birth defect, as all parents would be.
Does your family have that much fun just hanging out together?
Does 4 wheeling outclass a round of golf?
They have a simple swimming pool. Does that make them have less fun than a membership to an expensive fitness club? As they were filling their flimsy pool, did you see the happiness on Honey Boo Boo's face?
I see a family so different than my family. And I also see a family who completey loves each other.
thank you honey boo boo's mom! lol and you're from greensburg on top of that. lol

I really don't see why there are so many shows about these horrible pageants. There's this, Toddlers And Tiaras, and Eden's World. Maybe even a few others I've never heard of since I don't watch much tv.

All of these shows are disgusting, as are the pageants themselves. While I like to think that my morals are extremely permissive, I really see nothing good about these things.
You know my daughter does pageants and this stupid show has given a bad name to them.... Ppl critize me for it. But we do not go to extremes. Natural only. No make up no hair no tans. But bc this is the way pageants are displayed on tv. Ppl think they are all like that. It's a shame bc most of them are really fun

What children need the most is love, support and stability. Honey Boo BOO seems to be a very confident little girl and that alone will get her far in life. She is well feed and her house is clean so i see no abuse. When she is older it will be her decision to change her bad habits and if she chooses thats fine as long as she is happy with how she is.

No, many Hardin County families are having special relationships in regards to sexual relations and pregnancies. I believe the word in inbred.

I don't have all that much condemnation for the natural pageants per se. If your daughter really wants to do it, and you notice no problems caused by them, go ahead.

Maybe it was being young during the JonBenet murder that gave me a bad impression of the pageants. Dressing up a very small child in that much makeup, and some of those outfits just seems unsavory. Some of the acts the kids do even appear to be slightly sexualized.

South Park piqued my curiosity and I watched the first two episodes. I really have to wonder how much of this is staged, how much is taken out of context, and how much is based on reality.

I really have to call into question someone who would allow a show to set up staged events to make their kids look dysfunctional and trashy. The kids range from 7 to 17, and the show, or at least the episodes I watched, seemed to present a very bad picture of all four girls. Especially that "Pumpkin" girl.

I understand that they are poor, and probably need the money, but what kind of impact is this show going to have on these girls when they are older?
