Her car hit the side of the road and she over corrected and hit the truck. The guy from the truck wasn't hurt, physically, but an emotional wreck. She was dead at the scene. Heartbreaking scene. Road dept had "worked" on the edge of St. John Road last week and it was very soft. Not sure if it was rock or what they put down.

Been reading these posts and its perfectly clear that Amanda was a great person and will be dearly missed. I don't know the guy that she run into, but i heard he is a great guy, that would do anything for anyone. Just a bad run of luck, timing etc. I cant imagine how the young man feels about right know. I know it was an accident and nobody blames him for it. He even tried to steer away from her car but anyone who has ever been in that area of St. John Rd could tell you there is no where to go. This scene will replay through his head for the rest of his life. It has to be very hard on him being in the wreck and probably the first on the scene.

Amanda was an awesome chick. She will definitely be missed by everybody that knew and loved her. Prayers go to her family and especially to her little boy and Mike. Prayers also for the man that was involved in the accident. I pray he also finds peace and comfort in the upcoming days. RIP Amanda

Im truly sorry for everything that has happened to your friend/ family member Amanda. The accident happened exactly one week ago. And still to this day, it replays in my head all the time. it was a horrifying experience. Something i hope no one has to go through. I tried everything to avoid the accident. but everything happened so fast, i had no control over it. If you even look at the news paper photo. my truck was veered to the right. Trying to miss her car. I do appreciate everything that everyone has said on here. But, everyday i have to put a face on for my friends, family,co workers that everything is ok. But it still eats me up inside. I apologize to all her family and friends.

You need to realize this was not your fault. It was an accident . I know you fill guilty . You were just in the wrong place at the wrong time . Give youself sometime to heal.
