My benefits arent the greatest but at my last job they were worse and that was supposed to be a better company. Unless you have worked for Walmart in the last 5 years you can't say anything about how they treat their employees because then that's just hear say or assumption and you know what they to assume is to make an a$$ out of you and me!
The truth is that if walmart was not allowed to buy and manufacture all their products from foreign countries more people would have better jobs and even though walmarts profit margins might go down from where they are now, they would be better than where they are headed when no one can afford to buy from them. Also they would have to pay you better and offer better benefits to keep a good workforce because if they didnt offer their good employees a good wage and benefits those employees would have a lot of other choices as to where to work. No walmart is by far not the only big business who does this but they are definitely one of the worst. You can defend them because you are one of the ones lucky enough to work for their crappy wage but there are hundreds of thousands of people out there who are not employed at all as a DIRECT result of walmarts business practices and even more as an indirect result. but keep defending them, im sure you will be a manager making a big 400 a week for your loyalty very soon (My neighbor was a manager there and thats how much she made GROSS a week at the etown walmart, they offered her some crappy benefits but they were so expensive and covered so little she couldnt afford them.)

My mother worked at Walmart for 14 years. She worked while she had cancer until she couldn't work anymore. When she died Walmart didn't even send a sympathy card. Great place.

im with "works at walmart" atleast we get raises, we get quarterly bonuses, pretty decent insurance, 10% off anything but grocerys, paid vacations, sick time, personal time, we get the chance to advance in our jobs, we arnt just stuck at one job from the time we start there, i have had 4 job titles, and the one i am in now is by far the best, everybody has opionions on how bad walmart is, but no one ever wants to look at the good stuff we do.. Like "feed amarica".. we support springhaven, they give money for education, relay for life, we do tons of donations a yr.. I think we donated close to 75,000 dollars to diffrent charities last yr alone, just for one store, ide say thats quite a bit.. we arnt the big bad bully that everyone says we are!we are out to make the dollar too, and everyday we r told, "lets fill them outs and get out there and save ppl money so they can live better.. i take alot of markdowns on stuff daily.. did you know that our milk only cost 2.38 wen you go across the street to Kroger, your paying almost .80 to 1.00 more for the same crap? alls im saying is Walmart does for its community, and we TRY to help with the debt, but all cant be stopped! we do wat we can.

I would gladly pay 1 dollar more a gollon for mile if it meant that the people who made walmarts crappy clothes were americans and not the chinese. Walmart DOES NOT do what it can it does just enough to be able to say they do something. If they did what they could they would cut their own profits and slightly raise prices so that they could afford to make their products in the us.

try kohls kmart kroger or anywhere but walmart! Walmart likes to put small business out of business all together....they did it to my family personally. Went in looked at their prices and lowered them. My family could compete with kmart but walmart is crooked. Also they dont take care of their employees well. And if you go in walmart doing price checks with a pad of paper and pencil (pen) they will ask you to leave and or escort you out. So at christmas time you cant really window shop by going from store to store to compare prices.
No they don't..... I've worked there for years and we've never asked someone to leave for doing anything like that.

You know there are plenty of haters that hate on walmart. Personaly they don't pay all that well, and yea they normally don't have enough help. I have worked there and for other companys. And just when you thought Walmart wasn't a great place to work. You find another employer who will treat you worse. My biggest problem with the Etown Walmart is that it is supposed to be an SuperCenter. The only thing super about this one is the Parking lot. Everything else sucks. No products, no tire and lube center. And no Gas station. Sounds kinda ordinary to me.

There isnt a tire and lube center cause its a older store and right in front of it is a Valvoline oil place same with the gas station
