Drive up oil prices? Gas was under $2 per gallon when W left office...what are they now? 5 years later they have been over $4 per gallon. Try again d!pshIt.

IN 2007 the economy was pretty good. 2008, when sh!t began to go bad, guess who took over the house and senate!!!! The dumocrats!

Keep trying people! The Dumocrats have divided this country like it has never been divided before.

Pretty sorry record, regardless of your party affiliation. Fighting a purposeless war in Iraq while cutting taxes was just insane. Getting Fannie/Freddie into subprime lending was pretty irresponsible too. I always liked the Bush family, but W's administration was full of some real con men. In reality, the Bush family likely aren't homophobes or zealots or xenophobes at all, that was just "positioning" by Rove to win the Fundy vote in the South. W got his name on it, but it was really Cheney and Rove in charge...which is unfortunate for the Bush legacy.

you want to talk about oil prices our president today will not let any oil company drill in the state of montana, north dakota and south dakota they say there is more oil in these 3 states than what is in all the desert countries but our president will not let us go for it because it will mess or disturbe nature in short he is willing to pay out the nose for high price oil instead of drilling for it here at home chances are you might buy a gallon of gas for $1.50 or less instead of paying out the nose like $3.29 again wake up you dummmmmies

Clinton borrowed to put the country in the black and also signed the Nafta agreement which sold out every factory worker in America. Of course Bush got the blame over that because the economy went to crap under him but it was Nafta that caused it. Also Bush retaliated after 9-11. Obama hasn't retaliated over Bengazi because that's his Muslim brothers. Bush lied about WMDs, and yes drove up gas, but gas was under $2.00 a gallon when he left. So he did good and bad. Obama has done nothing!!!!

Anyone with half a brain could see housing being built, while jobs were leaving the u.s. This country needs to elect real citizens to congress to straighten this country out. No more lobbying and no more corporate money period.

sometimes i wonder if someone is "pulling my leg" look i am a big r republican, which means i am not a rush limbaugh, sean hannity ,fox news junkie. i am a true constitutional conservative. do you not know that bush sr started nafta? clinton explained it to the public, and moved on! quit thinking on party lines.
look, i am not new to this,i have been following politics since the mid 90'ds i am far from "google" educated. as a young man i listened to rush on am radio since the birth of his radio show, but their propaganda doesnt match facts, but neither does obamas, nor clinton,or george jr.
americans are divided, and have been for some time. politicians arent, they keep on with the same agenda! globalism!

Oil and gas are commodities that trade like everything else. Prices dropped like crazy in late 2008 along with every other investment class, and they've risen again as other investments have. Enough with the "my President can fix gas prices but your's can't" stupidity.

LOL at your source. Fannie and Freddie could never purchase subprime loans until the 2003 American Dream Act. Here is the signing statement from President Bush:

If Bush was worried about Fannie and Freddie in 2008, he was about five years behind everyone else.

Except his Deputy Secretary of Defense and architect of his entire neocon foreign policy (Wolfowitz) was Jewish himself. You're off your meds.

The Bush administration could have stopped it just like this one should. should not be legal to buy and sell energy! no need for your smartass remark.

What? If something as fundamental as healthcare (i.e. our very lives) is to be determined by free market forces, then why in hell should a government interfere in energy markets? Besides, this administration has put it's weight behind vehicle efficiency standards, which achieves the same goal but with the added advantage of lower emissions.
