Just another towelhead who doesn't have a clue what he's doing, either that or he doesn't care. He literally asked me to pick a medication to be put on. So much for doing your job eh...

he can't stand it when you don't understand what he's saying, quite funny actually. but overall he was a decent doctor for me.

I've known many families, kids and adults that have gone to him and he isn't very thorough. He does not take time to listen and I've watched him treat someone like they didn't know how they were feeling. He pushes meds and gets you in and out. There are not many psychiatrists in the area and he knows and takes advantage of that. I would never recommend him to anyone. Lincoln Trail Outpatient Services in Radcliff has very good psychiatrists. It's hard to find one you are comfortable with but Dr K is not going to be that one.

Go see Dr. Shah.

His goal is to have you an as little medication as possible, which is what any good psychiatrist should be trying to do.

I work at a place where many folks are on psychotropic drugs - so I have seen my share of good/bad psychiatrists and Shah tops my list.

However, I'm sure someone on here has a bad story about him as well.

I agree with you. Dr Shah does appear much better intentioned with patients. He listens and talks and does not push pills. I've seen and heard good things about him.

Kodali is still in Etown.

I honestly don't think Kodali is that bad compared to other psychiatrists in Etown. Especially when compared to that a**hole Dr. Pinto at Communicare. He's the first doctor I've met who hasn't tried to shove a cocktail of psychotropic meds down my throat and the first psychiatrist who has spent even a little bit of time talking to me.

He diagnosed me, explained what my disorder was, prescribed only one medication for it, explained what the said medication was, how it worked, and it's possible side effects. I'm far from cured but at least my symptoms have been somewhat alleviated and I can get a full night's rest. I don't think he is an a**hole at all, he's actually been pretty friendly towards me. The only thing I don't like about him is that he will not prescribe benzodiazepines at all. He says they cause Alzheimer's which is pretty much a bogus idea.

I agree he is the best. He got my son back on track after Kodali misdiagnosed him and gave him the wrong meds!

My 27 year olddaughter was his patient for 3 months, inpatient at Lincoln trail. He was terrible. He denied getting lab results and ik study results. Said that she was not bipolar, did not have narcolepsy, sleep apnea not ADD. He told me she was his worst patient ever. He said she would never get a treatment home because she was out of control. Had her transferred to The Ridge in Lexington and he sent all the lab work and sleep studies with her. The ones he denied having. The Ridge immediately treated her MTHFR conditions we narcolepsy, bipolar disorder and she has been prefect since and is coming home after 3 weeks, no group home needed.
