Fine dining the posters are saying a yes vote would attract fine dining resturants, that is a total lie, Etown can't support a resturant like that, there aren't enough people in etown that know the difference between fine dining and Ruby Tuesdays, and it's not my fault you are a backwards town that can't even get enough people interested to further your dining and drinking choices, you are and always be a pimple on the state of Kentuckys butt. You talk about tourism what a couple of softball tournaments a year, lol you have nothing in etown, it is so funny to hear the people talk about bringing tourism in, you have nothing to offer a vacationer, wow kids lets take our vacation in Etown KY, lol right I am sure that's heard in a lot of homes across the country, heck it's not even heard in the state.

After not moving here till I was in my 20s and living around the world Etown is by far the most boring place I have ever lived. This guy is absolutely correct. Good job on destroying the chance to bring any life into this area.

RESTAURANT? This must mean we will never have the chance to meet you. What a loss -- to you.

More than four years have passed since the expanded alcohol vote lost, but changes in state law allowed all the things we were voting on to happen. Folks said that this initiative would lead to a revitalization of our downtown, and it did. "Vote No" proponents predicted a bar on every corner, a rash of DUIs and accidents, and lots of prostitutes. So far, not true.Tourism has become a key source of jobs and money for our town, and bars and restaurants have played a key part. All in all, Elizabethtown is growing and thriving in spite of easily purchased alcohol. And since "quality of life" issues are important issues for site selectors, this can only help in the quest to get that mega-site in Glendale a tenant. A home run for our region. Or not? Curious to hear what others have to say about this.

- DUI look back is now 10 years. So, Hardin County doesn't have the working population for a large employer. Blame State senator Dennis Parrott!

- KY is a poor State, so can't give incentives like rich States
- Rich people won't want to move to Hardin County
- Rich people don't want their $400,000 house next to some trashy people with run down property
- Rich people don't want to send their kids to Hardin County Schools & yes includes E-Town schools
- Rich people don't want to live in area served by bad reputation hospital, yes talking about HMH
- Rich people don't want to pay Harry Barry high taxes, only to be served by ignorant County employees
- Rich people see the run down property with houses that need to be painted and overgrown properties. Time to cut that cheap Lowe's shrubbery that hides your house
- Rich people notice that pick up trucks have loud mufflers, and rednecks to rev their engine when they pass the few people who work in their yards
- Rich people notice the motorcycles that rev their loud engines at gas stations. Really think you need to do the vroom vroom while 'cycle is setting still?
- Rich people smell the failing septic field systems on the too small lots.

What do you think peoples impression of Hardin County is when they first pull off the Interstate?

Do you think the business people who scout factory locations, would have a favorable description to induce their spouse to move here? Really?

What are you gonna do? This is Hardin County where drunk drivers kill drunk drivers.

Glendale Mega site hasn't developed because workforce has DUI's, therefore not employable. Not my problem.

If Glendale Mega site does develop it will be staffed by robots and managers who can't wait to be transferred to a better quality of life. There will no tax money ever from industry, because that is part of the giveaway.

Just be happy to sell gas, burgers and beer to the tourists.

Senator Dennis Parrott, arrogant and ignorant is no way to go thru life!

You ran the fertilizer plant plant in an unsafe way to handle the chemicals the public entrusted you with.

You think it's funny that you can expunge a felony after 5 years, but wait 10 years for a DUI? Really, half a generation to wait to wipe off a DUI?, Really? You've screwed over a generation from better jobs!

You laugh because I had too many beers one night?
Can't get a job with DUI or record for 10 years!

Would you buy my kids backpacks for school?
Would you buy something at my booth at the Flea Market by the E-Town bowling alley?

Plenty of people have DUI's and still work. Kentucky has some of the most lax DUI laws in the country. And yes, if you drink and you get behind the wheel of the car, you deserve a DUI on your record for ten years. Who's going to buy your kids what they need if you're dead cause you wrapped your car around a tree or are in jail for vehicular manslaugher for hitting a killing someone. As I said before, there is a very simple solution...DON'T BE A MORON AND DRINK AND DRIVE.
