These are some of the cold-hearted, low down comments i've ever heard! You all should be ashamed! No matter what Kori did she still was someone's daughter, friend, sister etc.... Stop talking bad about Kori and stop slandering her name because when it all boils down to it, none of you weren't there when she got called HOME, or were you? Hmmm the way everyone is saying she died of an overdose how the hell do you know that for sure? Don't do you? didn't think so! stop being so heartless her parents don't deserve that!

Kori Helped Save Me
Elizabethtown, KY

I am a former meth user that knew Kori. Yes she liked to have a good time and yes she drank. What young person hasn't dabbled in drinking at one point or another. The drug use..... I can not comment on nor do I want to. I have heard the rumors and I can say that she never used around me. At one point at my rock bottom Kori sat beside me and held my hand as I cried about how horrible life had gotten and how I had let a "few times of fun" completely overrun my life. Kori helped me get clean. She helped me kick a nasty habit that had at one point cost me my children. Not only did she help me get clean but she helped me get my life back together. She helped me find a job, and get my kids back and I am proud to say that because of her I have been clean (not even drinking beer) for almost 6 years. No matter what anyone says addiction is something people wake up one day and say "hey i think I want to be an addict" and go on that mission. Addiction is something terrible. An addict is not always a terrible person. They might not always make good decisions and their decisions may cost them their life. It doesnt mean that their families are ok or that they dont need support from others. I hope that everyone that has said something negative about Kori have or will never have to go through something like her parents have had to go through. I know that even with all the negative things said The family of her would never wish this situation on anyone. Etown has a major drug problem and more needs to be done to help the addicts that are in our community. Addicts can change and thanks to Kori who a lot of you are talking bad about on here... I now have my life back, my children will NEVER have to go without their mother again, and I help save addicts. I became a drug counselor after Kori helped save my life. Kori I love you and I miss you and to the Skaggs family, May you all find some peace and avoid all the negativity and know that your daughter no matter what anyone says helped me more than anyone ever could. She never gave up on me and im grateful for that because if she had I may not be here today!

People can change. And one day you might meet someone who did do drugs and never know it.

You people get a life, Kori, you are an amazing friend, and person. You touched the hearts and were loved by so many. I hope you can see how many people cared about you. We are here for your family, and we will think of you and miss you everyday. We will remember you for who you were, not any bad choices you made. The good by far outweighed the bed. We love you, we pray for your family. To everyone who had something nasty or ugly to say about her or her death, well your just mad cause if it had been you that passed away the same love and support from the town would not of been shown for you. Kori has so much support from Etown, not because E-town supports drugs or deaths involving drugs, we support Kor for who she was, A wonderful person. We love you always Kori!

The few mistakes and not-so-wise choices that Kori made was FAR outweighed by the GOOD and HONORABLE things that she was ALWAYS doing for others! YES, Her poor choices hurt her and ultimately cost her life BUT even something good is coming from that in a way.(I would rather still have her here though.) Her death has brought so many people together and I would imagine it has shown her parents just how much more she was loved than maybe they even knew? That is NOT to say her death was a good thing ecause it was NOT and I know that Larry & Bobby would much rather have Kori HERE with them, I am just saying that if others can learn from her "mistakes" or "bad choices" maybe that is a way for Kori to SAVE the lives of others (or even ONE other person) and that is the price she possibly payed to do that. Kori would have NEVER caused harm to others. Not physical, not emotional and not in any other way... Kori was awesome. I know some people will argue with that and I don't care if they do. I know some people will say that I am paying "tribute" to a "druggie" and I don't care if they do. I know some people will say she also abused booze and was asking for trouble, that is their opinions and tough luck that they feel that way, I WILL NEVER FEEL THAT WAY! Kori, I know that from where you are you can't even see all the bad stuff people are saying, you can see only the good and only the love, and that is exactly the way it should be! PEACE TO YOU ALWAYS MY FRIEND!

From what I understand, she may have been "fed" the xanax...she died at a party just like a guy in Meade County did...possibly at the hand of the same person...

None of us are perfect, and Kori had her problems, but she was one of the nicest persons I have ever met.

I never Kori but it's obvious she had a lot of friends. I don't understand the people who are causing grief on here. I've been around quite a few years and have never met anyone who hadn't done something stupid in their life they regretted. I say keep the good memories and let the rest go.

I didn't know her at all but apparently the person who started this post has never lost a friend to drugs or alcohol. It can happen to anyone.

Oh God. WHY necro an old thread filled with a bunch of lonely, jealous, bitter people that have to spill out hate on people they don't even know, because in actuality, everybody hates THEM?.
