Can I point out, just for my own amusement, that this procedure requires lubricant? I know we are all well aware of that fact, with the lovely explanatory videos and whatnot. Last I checked, when produce natural lubricant when aroused, which would make the KY unnecessary if this were a "sexual" experience.
Also, should MD's stop doing rectal exams on men at their yearly, post-40 physical exams? That in itself could be construed as verging on homosexual, allowing someone to insert a finger in your anus, and so many on here have stated that cancer screenings are ineffective anyhow.
Additionally, if this same standard is to be applied in other fields, I strongly suggest we start replacing female teachers with their male counterparts. Female teachers are far more likely to carry on an inappropriate sexual relationship with one of their students. Shouldn't we be more concerned about children and teens who lack the ability to make informed decisions, than the grown adult women who take careful consideration in choosing their healthcare providers?
Bottom line for me? If me, my spouse, or any of my loved ones need medical care, I am looking for qualifications, education, continued training beyond their degree, in addition to bedside manner. Gender is truly trivial and irrelevant in medical care.
Correction: Lubricant is standard procedure as not all women secrete natural lubricant even when aroused.

It was an obgyn who told us to use ky for sex after the birth of our first child. So it was an obgyn who told us to use it for sex. Mmmmmmm. True, I'm sure a lot of other new parents have been told the same thing.

...also... a doc will apply lubricant to his fingers even if the women does have a show of natural lubricant. It's not like he's going to imply that she is wet n ready by making that obvious by refraining from using lubricant. Also if he wrongly presumed that she was naturally lubricated then the examination could be painful, so the doc chooses to always apply KY beforehand. Nothing to do with the patient's state of arousal.

all the fuss over the TSA screening, over nudity involved with the prisoners at Gitanamo, over strip seraches at dept stores, but yet this is supposed to be acceptable to us? nudity is a very effective way of demoralizing and humiliating someone period. more and more these exams start to sound like some kind of cult ritual

there are folks who do play (sex) exams. The porn industry also use these exams for sex scenes. What does that tell you about these exams.

The good news is society is doing a "self correction." if you saw the pictures posted by modest woman about all the M.S. who were becoming gynecologist you would have noticed only one male. This is inductive of what's going at m.s. across the country, where it is not uncommon to see 90-95% of the class females. The percent has been climbing higher every year.

Oh, and by the way, who the hell are these men who have so much time to carry on a running conversation about this? Don't you have jobs go to so you can support your family?
These men are victims themselves - having observed their loved ones suffer the indignity of medical rape. They have the "balls" to confront the BS and speak outagainst females beoing lured into bogus medical examinations at the hands of predatory male doctors who's agandas are often sexual

Having benn victimized by such a doctor - I too have made the time to join such forums in order to warn other women off of these medical nonsense practices

I advise you to either take time to research the topic properly or reserve making these ignorant attacking comments......they serve no purpose here. This forum is for informed debate and informations sharing, not for ridicule and scoffing

Take it from a woman - this is very necessary

I will find a useful link for you to begin your research - if indeed you are at all sincere....the truth is, many women dont do the research ad dont really understand what the risks are.....until its too late and thwy experience a rape.

To me this is trivial. My concern is what roles those people posting in this forum play in the community. I would hate to think that this ignorance would cause young women not to have beneficial procedures performed.
An erection from testosterone flow? Probably not, since she is female. On the other hand, can a female become aroused by such an act? Yep. There's a fetish for everything. Also, those exams are done to feel the man's prostate, aka the male G-spot. Stimulating that particular body part is an easy way to cause orgasm, unlike in women, where it requires more work, time, and generally stimulation of the clitoris in addition to penetration to produce orgasm. As for the news, yeah, I have. That's why I said it. How many women have gotten pregnant by having sex with children that they are supposed to be nurturing and educating? Better yet, we should just all home school our children since either sex of teacher is risky, really. We could make sure all the women stay home teaching their kids, which wouldn't allow them time to sneak off to these illicit doctor visits. Problem solved!
As promised - please do your research:

I think that the high salaries that GPs and Consultants get is disgraceful.

This attracts people to the profession for the wrong reasons.

People would still go to med school if the saleries were lowered, but for the right reasons, because they want to care for and help people.

Most doctors and consultants I know have so much spare money that they get confused as to what to do with it all.

Most end up buying property after property just like the game Monopoly.

This problem also needs to be addressed, especially when the NHS is cutting back on treating sick people through lack of money.

Hmmmmmmm... it's gone very quiet. That always worries me. Are people trusting male doctors now? Have people learnt that they can't be trusted? Or has everyone said what they want to say? Well personally I think we all need to keep on saying it, over and over, until the message is heard loud and clear by all...

"Males are not right to be Gynecologists or Doctors who perform intimate examinations on women."

Men used to orgasm from the sight of a ladies naked ankle, whatever do they feel when ladies freely spread for them on a daily basis!
