How come there is not enough girls to put together a 10 year old All star team? I seen several teams with girls in this age group. Where do they go to play? Why would they not play on an all star team? Who is in charge of the softball league and is this person taking all the better players for thier own personal gain? Im going to check on some other teams, if they have the same problems getting a team together then is this the way it goes? Frustrating!

The league is holding tryouts for the 10U girls this week. The problem is that there has not been a individual step up to caoch this team.

They can hold all the tryouts they want. From what im hearing somebody or coach, Trever I think is his name. He took all the goid 10 yr girls and went to play somewhere else. F'n prick! Where is this guys loyalty to the ballpark he coached at. Thats all im sayin!

Trevor is actually the Vice President of Softball and does not have a travel team. However, you are correct in saying that there is a coach in the league who has a travel team made up of girls in the league. The girls on his team voted not to play all stars for South Hardin.

Rocket Man, you seem close to the situation. Do you have a daughter that was going to try out?? League rep is right, the girls made this decision on there own. Nobody forced them to play one or the other. The loyalty of the coach is to the girls he coaches. If they don't want to do the All Stars why would you force them??? The setup for Little League Tournament is bad. One game a day?? Travel half way across the state for one game during districts or state tournament??? Maybe South Hardin needs to have softball affiliated with ASA or NSA instead of Little League??

So since it was the girls' decision, does that still make the coach an F'n Prick or is that just your opinion of the guy?

There was a Guy by the name of Jeremy Goodman. That coached a all star team for south Hardin a few years ago. Talk to him about coaching. Im sure he has a electric bill that is past due. Thats right he took alot of the money that parents busted there ass to raise. Fundraisers ect. to pay the bills at.his own house.
thats funny

sports is overrated. parents reliving thru their child. long trips to outta state are basically family vacations. shouldn't be allowed. kids play for the fun of it. or they should. parents mess it up. go to a game and watch them fuss, yell and cuss.

I am a former board member for south hardin. I was a board member for 7 years. I hear nothing but complaints from what south hardin is doing or what they are not doing. If you are on the board you are always taking the blame for everything. But if it was not for the board there would not be a league. The people who are doing the complaining are the same people who never try to help with anything. It is not easy to run a ballpark. It takes a ton of time and you are never at home. The league has a board meeting once a month. Even if you are not a board member you are welcome to come. I strongly encourage everyone to come that wants to help. It is easy to come to the ballpark and watch your kid play. step up and get involved and help fix the problems because if you dont you are just a person who likes to complain. A.K.A BJ AND NICKEY LAFFOLETTE. People who bitch about everything
I'm not sure who this supposed former board member is....however, we've been in this league for longer then 7 years...SO we volunteer our time to coach and assist our childrens team. The only time there's ever been a complaint from us is this year because Scott Davis, the president of the league VIOLATED league rules that could in fact impact the entire leagues affiliation with Little League...Of all the coaches we are there for the kids and no one else. If you're willing to post stuff annoymously on this ridiculous site, be willing to step up and discuss this face to face.......

Since you seem to know so much about the rules and supposed violations, what rule is it that you think he violated? I personally know him and do not think he would do anything like this. He is very dedicated to the league and puts in many hours to ensure that the league is fairly run. I have even coached with him and know that he holds his teams to a higher standard to ensure that there is no suggestion of foul play. It is people like you that make those people willing to stand up and run the league, regret it. Anybody can be a back seat driver.

Its good to see so many people pointing fingers. The truth to the whole thing is like this.. South Hardin is all about your last name or Who you know. Your kid doesnt have a shot in hell at making a travel or all star team if you dont know someone... Its all about the money there. Thats the way it is. So if you wasnt blessed with the money or a last name go play in another district. There is plenty of places that isnt like south Hardin.

For one I don't understand why people bring theses matters into a nonesence websites thats never gonna matter. I'm a proud parent of the Bulls and the team has done wonderfull out there this year. But to throw someones name out there like that. Dj and nicky made a really good year that theses boy are always going to remember. They made it fun unlike most coaches out there yelling and carrying on. They just poiented out what wasn't fair. One team plays fair they should all play fair.

The league is good league but less focus needs to be put on all stars and travel teams. People lose focus on a friendly league and looking to make their name known. Let the kids play ball.

My child has been playing for south hardin for 2 years now and we love it! I think it is absolutely ridiculous to drag names around in the dirt and point blame at everyone else. Wednesday was the most ridiculius thing i have ever seen at a ballpark! I have personally watched Scott Davis all season long and found him to do nothing wrong. His team worked hard and played hard most games! What happened Wednesday was sad.. All of these 7 and 8 year old kids were out there to play baseball.. Not learn to hurt each other and learn poor sportsmanship! I really felt bad the for Bulls players.. They were really trying hard and could've made a comeback had the coaches and parents not acted silly.. They worked all season for someone to rip it away from them! It's even more sad because it's just baseball.. We aren't saving lives..

Tell us why is it you Coach anyway? 99.9% of Coaches now days Volunteer to Coach cause they can play their kid where they want, because usually the kid is no good. Most coaches kids play 2nd cause they think its horriable if a coaches kids plays outfield. So they put them at second base hoping the other kids will catch the ball around their kid and he wont have to do much. You know you dont volunteer to coach your kid out of the goodness of your heart. Its all about your kid starting and all stars and hoping being your a coach some travel team may want your kid.
