It doesn't matter if it was a drug overdose or not. The simple fact is that she died the how of it is unimportant now. She has passed on have some respect and consideration for the family. Let her rest in piece and her family mourn her lose without all the b.s and drama.

If it wasn't a drug overdose and all of Kori's supporters want to put an end to the rumors then why not come out and say how she died? There really is no reason to hide those details especially if you want people to support and donate to her fundraisers etc... I think people naturally want to know what happened and that can't be changed. Many are asking out of concern not maliciousness.

It really doesn't help to just call everyone liars. No one knows what you are calling lies.

If Kori passed away due to abusing prescription drugs (even if it was just one pill) wouldn't you want other people to know so that they didn't do the same thing? If it isn't the case at least come right out and say that she died from health issues unrelated to drugs or something. That would put a stop to a lot of the gossip.

First off at this time her friends and family are mourning her death. Do you really think that this family OWES You or Anyone else an explanation? I think not. If you truly knew and cared about Kori then you would know what happened. All these rumors and gossip are a bunch of crap. Some people are just so disrespectful.

Totally agree with Tragedy. It is one. And we are being respectful, it is a time of mourning for her family and friends. But all fingers point to that nefarious ending. So we may not need to say it was the pills but let's all, all of us that knew her keep that in the back of our head. No Pills. No pills.

The rumors are a bunch of crap? That is no defense. No one said you owed anyone a single thing. It is my own personal opinion to which I am entitled that it would be better to just come and and squash the rumors with the truth instead of letting them grow and spread.

I understand that her friends and family are mourning her passing but many are also coming onto social media and making statement. Why not make a statement that is productive instead of calling everyone liars?

If I were the family I would want people to know the truth so that at the time of her funeral people could focus on Kori instead of the gossip about Kori.

It is human nature to be curious. Ultimately it is up to the family what they release.

I agree. The rumors would have never continued had someone gave the real reason instead of trying to remain all hush hush about it. If it was my family member, no matter what caused it, I wouldn't care to say it. You can't fight or hide the truth forever, no matter how bad it might hurt. Not that I think anyone should go out of their way to do so, but since ppl are on here and FB... Many many people just wanted answers bc they cared. I hope the truth comes to light and Kori can rest easy!

she didn't die from an overdose! test results came back and any level of anything that was in her system was low enough to not have caused what happened. her family has asked people to not sit around and spread what caused this tragedy so for the respect of them why don't u all just let them be?!!! kori's family has been through enough this past week! THEY JUST LOST HER DAUGHTER! anything that happens to anyone, people automatically think drugs were involved...but this wasn't the case. let kori rest in peace!

I kinda see both sides of this. Everyone is curious to see what really happened, because it really IS human nature to be curious. However, the "tell us what happened so no one else does the same" excuse is not a real convincing one, since most everyone knows not to overdose on prescription medicines and/or drink alcohol in excess (with or without pills). Making an example of Kori will not help to get the word out to not abuse drugs - that message has been pounded into most kids heads by the time they're 10 years old. Also, the ones who die are not nearly a testament to drug abuse as those who live with the addiction every day.

I, sadly, did not know Kori. People said she was a very upbeat and wonderful person.

I agree that the message has been pounded into kids' heads from an early age. Maybe my argument wasn't convinving enough. Like I said it would ultimately be up to the family what they decide to do but sometimes it takes something bad happening to someone you know for it to really hit home.

If someone is living with an addiction you are right... they are a true testament to what drugs can do to destroy their lives and those around them. Only thing is those people are still "living". Death is a scary thing. Fear can be a motivator.

Again this is all speculation since "test results came back and any level of anything that was in her system was low enough to not have caused what happened."

is hate not an abomination? Why would anyone who loves god hate someone who loves others? Ignorance is a terrible thing.
