I am wondering what can be done about children living in a home without water. Their hot water heater fell through their floor and they wont get it fixed.

Maybe the parents are heating the water on the stove! Why are you worried? Maybe the parents are going to fix it when they have the money. Why do you wanna start trouble for a family who may not deserve it? Sounds to me like you need to mind your own business!

What can be done is leaving the family alone unless they seek assistance. Did Abe Lincoln or your great-great grandparents have a hot water heater? Indoor plumbing? Get used to it, with many people losing homes and the general economic decline of the working class, this kind of situation will not be rare.

To the rest of you...questions of concern don't always have to be answered with such hateful remarks...offer intelligent solutions.

I agree people on here are ridiculous, it's nice to see someone show concern because for all we know those kids could be not taken care of properly, you should definately try to help them or find a church to help or even cAll social services just incase, better to be safe then sorry when it comes to kids health and welfare.

Do you know why the hot water heater fell through the floor? Is the floor rotted out, neglect or is home in overall bad condition? Could be they aren't sure where to turn for help. You can start by calling your local pastor explaining, call volunteer org., or even a foodbank organization or helping hand can usually start you in the right direction of where to get help. Where I come from neighbors pitch in and just help fix things. Someone can probably donate flooring, donations for a new hwh if it's needed.

To let you all know some more information.. The mother and bf of these 4 children would rather spend the money they get on drugs. The home is in very poor condition with busted windows, holes all in the walls, grass that is above your knees, nasty, and cluttered. Its rediculous As for me helping, I've tried! You people are so mean when all I wanted was some advice out of concern not being nosy.

Is the house they live in a rental property, or do they own it? If it is rental property then you would need to call codes enforcement because it is possible that the landlord needed to fix the repairs but isnt. As for the drug thing well i dont know really. Do what you think is right, but do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

If those were your kids, in their home, what would you do? Call CPS? I think so. Try to get the parents help for their problems because it's obvious they have a big one. That's truly upsetting.

I don't think you need to be worrying about the hot water heater. If you know there is drug use call police, CPS if conditions are that bad.I don't see where anyone is being nosy asking about the situation. Funny how it from no running water to being drug dealers so quickly. If you don't want to hear it, don't post it on topix.

SPEAKING OF KIDS

this is not about me or anyone other than my 8 year old grandson. He had a 66 Dodge charger in John Hamm's barn located at 6378 Leitchfield rd. Cecilia, ky. John took his car and we dont know where he put it.........If anyone has info please reply back......... this has nothing to do with me or anyone other than Cody. He is very sad over his car being stolen from him by John Hamm. HOw could anyone do that to a lil boy. we bought the car for him before he was born. We have pictures of him with his dream car. Now his dream has been stolen. If you are low enough to steal from a child you are capable of anything. Cody has tried to call John and he wont answer. What if it was your child, how would you feel. John you are getting ready to be a dad is that how you will allow your child to be treated. Cody has not ever done anything to you for you to take his dream car. You work buy your own car. I thought you were working a program of recovery. God judges us all and all i want is his car that you stole from him. It seems the only program you are working is robbing children. And God said he will judge accordingly..........IF ANYONE HAS INFO ABOUT CODY'S CHARGER PLEASE REPLY TO THIS..........I AM ON FACEBOOK..........LINDA KAY FERRELL JECKER..........THANKS........ ..KIDS DONT DO WRONG BECAUSE MARRIAGES DONT WORK

They were renting and got evicted. Now the children are staying here and there because Mother hasn't gotten a place to live. Just sponging while she can. I've contacted police, social services, and everyone. Our justice system blows. They once called them in for a drug test. Of course they passed because they took someone else urine in. I asked them to take a hair drug test and I pay for it but nope wouldn't do it but would agree to urine. I'm fed up!
