I think they have too much control over everything.
Would like some comments from other people.

I am also dealing with them on storm water issues, They actually hold a bond on a devolper (fountain Blue est) who clearly went against the approved plans on establishing a run off and catch basins. Now for some reason they are not making the devolper or the builder go back and fix the problem, Them seamed to be content on saying it is now a home owner issue. I got mine some what fixed, the other home owners is this area , get ready.

Actually they are just doing their jobs. Do you think they like all the rules/regulations all the time? No, they don't. Most of them were created basked on the size of city we are and by the mayor/council. Planning and Zoning has almost no control over the regs and just have to follow along same as you do.

As for allowing someone to do soimething and not others they can't control when they flat out tell someone it's not allowed and then they or their contractors go ahead and do it anyway. Do you have any idea how long a process it is to get something like that fixed. It makes them just as angry as it does you, but it has to go through letters and then fines and then the court system if need be to get something fixed.

Please back off of people just trying to do their jobs!!!

Also if there wasn'tas much control can you imagine what our town would look like? The regulations are there for a reason and it keeps our city looking as nice as possible.

I know someone who worked for the county gov. who followed the rules and regs but was fired because other co-workers were not interested in following the rules and regs. This caused the need for numerous agencies to attempt to cover their Ass#s. It still has not all come out yet but it gets closer every month.

I've actually heard something similar and know a little about that myself, but that was county not city. If you think any agency/buisness is perfect anywhere is perfect or that every single employee does a perfect job then you're wrong. But at least for me I think our city planning dept. does a dang good job!!

If you own property, and or a home, or both then:

If someone or many do not feel that they could have little faith, trust, or confidence in their government officials who are supposed to be in place to protect investment material, then how do the many "Recreate" genuine trust, faith, and confidence?

Some entities I speak of are:
1.Plumbing Inspector
2.Electric Inspector
3.Septic Inspector
4.Building Inspector

Are thes individual entities not a potential property owners line of trust and confidence and faith that things were done as regulations require?

Another entity would be the City or county Engineer responsible for overseeing subdivision developement to engineering standards.

Most of what you said didn't even make sense, but I think I get the point you're trying ot make. I'm sorry that you're having issues, but that doesn't mean they aren't doing their jobs properly. I for one personally know the electrical inspector and some of the building inspectors and they are extremely kind, just, and fair men who know how to do their jobs well.

I am smelling a stink in LaVista Estates Rineyville. Who were the inspectors from the building inspectors office, plumbing inspectors office, septic inspectors office, and the electric inspectors office?

Who was responsible for most of the approvals from each office?

I offer $100 reward to anyone who can get Hardin County Planning/Development Chris Hunsinger or Wes Wright to say anything other than; "That's not our problem, you need to call someone else."

This is your tax dollars paying their high salary. They control your property values. Non enforcement of Laws by your stupid neighbors, developers and Surveyors destroys your property.

Please refer to Topix posts of "Do you think Judge Berry is doing a good job". This revels a lot about Berry, Oldham, Huntsinger and First Federal in Fed Bank Receivoeship

Will have to go public soon enough over this Rineyville state/federal funded BRAC Project and Waste Water Scandal. It will be interesting to see what they have to say at open mike night in pending public meetings. HARDIN COUNTY RESIDENTS TAX DOLLARS AND SUBSEQUENT HIGHER PROPERTY TAXES IMPOSED TO ATTEMPT TO PAY FOR WHAT THOSE GOVERNMENT ENTITIES "LET HAPPEN."
