Looking for new 'haunted' places to check out, but all the popular ones are over an hour away. I've been to the 'Gates of Hell', St.Ivos, Owsley cemetery. I've seen nothing at any of those places. So far, St.Paul in Big Clifty has been the only place things have happened. Anyone know of any good places around here and please refrain from asinine jokes :D I'm anxious to hear any true stories if you have any! Thanks!

What happened at St. Paul?? Is that a cemetery? I have heard the admin. building at the Ky. baptist homes for children is haunted. That is in Glendale. No one that worked there would go in at night by themselves. They said doors would close tolits would flush and all kinds of things and no one was there in that building it was locked. They had to have a key to get in.

Look whos talking, do you mean the old glendale childrens home? If so that place is freaky as hell even in the day time. Some damn children of the corn shit happening there. Some kids have died there in the past, back in the 30s and 40s, if its the same place I am thinking about.

About St.Paul:
I've captured some very nice pics of genuine orbs. I'm currently in schooling for this field of study and have read information on how to distinguish real and fake orbs. The cemetery is in a rather desolate location with no lights around, but I've also captured moving red lights (no fault by lens spire or reflection) that were above the tombstones. The whole cemetery stays strangely quiet, even during the summer and there is a strong feeling of dread toward the upper left portion. Everyone's hair stands up on end simultaneously as well. Me and my sister even experienced nausea at the same time. There is rumor of a horseman that guards that area of the cemetery; I've heard hooves stomping(which may or may not be fault of deer, but the area is fenced in). My brother turned and seen a face directly in front of him and I've seen a 'grudge-like' creature staring back at me. Moving shadows have also been seen. I've also caught one EVP on my digital recorder (something saying 'oh, gawwwd'). A few months ago (after my last visit), I felt very frightened as if there was something evil in my car, which I've never experienced driving home from any other 'haunted' location. I felt somewhat better after rolling my windows down. A few other things have happened there that I can't recall all the moment. I don't drink or use drugs, this place, I truly believe, has something wrong with it.

The Radcliff Inn (on 31W) is supposed to be haunted. A guest died in room 107, and another guest died on the ground floor (I can't remember what the room number is). The managers deny that it is haunted.

do any of you all know who owns the "Gates of Hell Cem" now? My group was planning to do an investigation but I heard of the no trespassing signs and didn't want the cops called on us.

your bet bet would be to ask the people at the start of the road to the Gates of Hell....I always thought that cemeteries were public, maybe not if family owned on their own property. I have heard that KSP frequents this spot, especially at Halloween. Good Luck!

The gates of hell was a public cemetary 3 years ago. I was there on Halloween and the cops were called. I explained I had just brought my teenage neice there to see it,so she wouldn't go alone. They said it was ok because it was public. That they only check out calls because of vandals.

As far as who owns Gates of Hell... I went to try and find the owner since it was said he lived by the cemetery. The last house is where a nice woman lives and she had no idea who the owner was.

Kasey Cemetary/Gates of Hell is public property. The police go back there from time to time to make sure no vandalism is going on. It's a shame what vandals have done to the place. Almost every headstone is broken and there is trash all over the place beer cans and stuff. Everytime I
go out there I try to clean up the trash but it seems some people have no respect for the dead. It's really sad. So if any one goes out there please dont trash it. Or bring a garbage bag and pick up the trash, that would be really nice.

Bell Smoot House on N.Main. Smoot's spirit is keeping watch on his map ( somewhere) to a bag of French and Spanish gold coins; hid in a cave on the south side of the city where he found them in 1940 something. The south end cave opening covered during I-65 exchange construction.

Northtown Church near Northtown off I-65 in Hart County, many reports of couples parking there who claim dank cold feeling sensations coming in the cars. Some claim they were scratched by whatever. Church lights come inside on than go off.

Park City to Cave City on I-65. Two Native American burial sites were just bulldozed away bones and all in the early 1960s for the road.Ever after a high number of fatal wrecks there. Some report seeing something standing in the middle of the road like a human being at night. The state has set up two camera towers along this stretch to see what is causing the accidents. If you see it, it isn't there.

Was a little bridge years ago on the old Glendale road. Many claimed the spirit of a young woman killed there was seen on the date she was killed.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Sagittarius

Mercury turning retrograde in your house of finances carries a rather unseasonal message, because it's telling you to pay attention to your finances over the next few weeks. If you already know that you've overspent this month, you won't need to be told that a few economies are just around the corner. Get the facts straight and pay attention to the small print. You may also have to make some adjustments to an intimate relationship so it can move into another phase.
