Hey, the Republicans picked a self interest idiot to run again Obama...own it! I wasn't fond of Obama, although I was disgusted with Romney.
I owned watching Bush take four more years, so I believe we can handle Obama. Well, no I don't own that, because I didn't vote for the fool Bush!
We'll never see the days of Clinton again, at least no time soon. Although one day I hope to see someone in the White house with the smarts, logic, and prestige Clinton gave this county.
The Bush era took this county down faster than any president in history, it will take many presidents and lots of red tape to undue the deep hole Bush thew this county into.
Owning it, isn't the phrase....undoing it, is the concept that fits best.

Yep, those of us who voted to re-elect President Obama own it. So as the economy continues to improve, when the wealthy finally start to pay their fair share of taxes, and the healthcare mess gets better with Obamacare, make sure you GOP blamers and haters give the President the credit he will deserve instead of your usual posturing to make it appear as though the Republicans in Congress made it all happen. Thankfully the 2012 election demonstrated beyond dispute just how irrelevant the religious right has become and how toxic it is to the GOP's White House aspirations. Now its up to the GOP to decide if it will continue to pander to the idiot Bible-thumpers or if it will check in to the 21st century and adopt a more socially progressive agenda. If the 2012 election results taught us anything, it is that abortion, gay-marriage and marijuana are here to stay. The GOP would be wise to acknowledge this and offer up a candidate who is pro-choice, pro-gay marriage, and pro-legalization (and taxation) of marijuana.

So we are supposed to support queers that smoke pot? Abortion would not come into play since guy's can't get pregnant. And what are you dems going to do with the new rules of Obamacare? You have made it clear that your electorate is not smart to get voter ID cards, so how are you going to decide which healthcare plan to choose?
#5 Nov 21, 2012
You're not very bright are you?
#6 Nov 21, 2012
The main problem; people must understand we are far beyond the worries of gays, pot, and abortion. They will always be gay people, pot isn't going away, and abortion will not be over turned. We have kids with no insurance, working families pinching pennies for groceries, and the middle east is in scary trouble. These are the problems that must be addressed.
How easily we forget our nation was a "chuckle" among countries with Bush as president. Romney made a point to hammer Obama about the "tour to apologize". Hell, we had to mend some fences. We had a clown in office, and our stature was broke.
We cannot fight every war, we cannot dictate every nation.
At home, I find the wealthy are able to pay some more therefor easing the burden. I cannot understand how some of the poorest/middle class Americans (a fine line between the two), can't understand that concept.

Obummer has increased the welfare roles by 20 million people, added 17 million more to the disability roles, 70.4 million on food stamps, and people still on unemployment after 2 years. But why should they get a job when they get free money. He hanged the work requirement fro welfare to make it easier to get it. Some of these people with all the government benefits make about 60k a year. I only make 70k a year and I work my ass off. All those payments to his electorate costs us about 750 billion a year. Add in the 540 billion in interest payments.
You could tax the rich 75% and it would not make a dent until you put some of these lazy bums back to work. So tax the rich and in Obamacare and see what happens to the unemployment roles. It is going to explode. Because it is already happening. All medical device makers are laying off workers to offset their new excise tax imposed on them from Obamacare. Not all companies can afford to supply healthcare for workers, and they sure as hell can not afford a 2k penalty either. But will be forced out of business anyway. Which means less tax money coming in and more people working and more dependent on government. Obama has done notheing to spur job growth and Obamacare will add to unemployment which he said would help the middle class. I am not sure where he went to school but if someone gives you a dollar you can not spend it 5 times!
#17 Nov 22, 2012
Show me one person on welfare who makes 60K a year...they don't unless their doing something illegal and using several different aliases to get checks. The few people I know on assistance are barely scraping by. You blame Obama for putting people on welfare and disability but fact is, he didn't do any of that. Some doctor puts people on disability and some gov't agency let's people draw welfare checks. These systems were all set up LONG BEFORE Obama got into office but you blame him because why, he didn't initiate legislation to change the system? Unemployment, job losses, etc are all part of the economic roller coaster ride we are on right now but things are improving if we give it a chance and illogically think we can change the state of our economy overnight.

The economy that I deal with on a daily basis is not improving...do you live in the USA? Wealthy people paying higher taxes...not happening...Why? Wealthy people do not make money on "wages, tips and salary" that everyone else gets a tax bill for. Obama and his advisers need to realize this and overhaul the ENTIRE tax code. As to ObamaCare, the trouble with this policy is only beginning...and it is not being fully implemented until 2014...so don't expect any great economic turn-around in 2013 due to "savings" from ObamaCare.
As one of those "bible-thumping Repub Christians", I can only offer up this: GOD has moved out of the way and is letting America have all that it wants...no matter what. GOD never forces himself on anyone or any nation...that is why we cannot blame GOD when the consequences of getting what we want come home to roost. Now, at times there are big differences in the things that we WANT versus the things that we NEED...but GOD does not interfere...you get your hearts desire ALONG with all of the consequences.
NEEDS and WANTS...pretty clear understanding. If you get all that you WANT...most times there is nothing left over to pay for the things that you NEED. American gov't policy has never understood that simple concept that if you have a WANT...it has to be sacrificed (paid for) by losing something that you NEED. In my own life, I have applied this GOD-GIVEN principle and it works every time. If you have more WANTS than NEEDS...then you have to realize that DEBT or SAVING is the only way to go, however; you are sacrificing future NEEDS...and you have to decide is it really worth the loss?
#19 Nov 22, 2012
The problem is, it's not only the American gov't who doesn't understand that it's the American PEOPLE who don't get it...we have turned into a "gimme gimme" society and are selfish, self-centered and have a sense of entitlement as a society.

Gopers really do live in a bubble. Bush destroyed or country and economy. He lied to go to war to steal oil. He sent thousnads of young americans to there death for oil. He change laws and ploicy's to make it possible to destroy or economy. Then you guys want to blame the guy who inherited a house burnt to the ground and blame him for the fire. The debt thast has been incurred under obama 57% of that came from the bush era the war's the bail outs, the tax cuts. Obama has not done an incredible job no he has not done a great job. But it is goper policies that started under reagan that the dems have kept going that has got us to this point. The best years in the last 30 were under clinton and according to gopers that was reagans doing. So at least own the bush era and stop acting like it didn't happen, cause it did. And please tell bonehead speaker of the house to healt obama try and change things for the better.
