The lady was asking about a classy salons, and classy and "nice", isn't the same. The stylist are few and far between. Sometimes you'll find a good stylist, and she's stuck in a room full of loud nuts, in and out of the chair.
I'm not being mean, just honest. She's probably seeking a upscale salon that has certain "high standard" look and appeal. Sadly, that type of salon doesn't reside here, sad but true.

Although, if that's all we lack in a community, we'll still be just fine..lol

Ok, if I were looking for a salon where the stylists were good and I didn't have to listen to drama the whole time could I find that? I moved here from a somewhat larger city than Elizabethton and would like to be able to relax while getting my hair done.

I would recommend Tangles Salon in downtown Elizabethton. The owner recently got two more stylist working with her and they are great! It's a little pricey if you have long hair but cheaper if you have short hair. They include a haircut in the pricing with highlights or color.

Hair Fashions and More. Any one of the three ladies do an excellent job and prices are very resonable. I have short hair and get 3 colors foiled with a cut and never pay more than $60.

Tangles Salon is a very classy upscale place! I definitely recommend the owner, Tonya. She is a sweet lady with a lot of talent. Although the other stylists are great too! It is still cheaper than JC but because it is more of a sophisticated place it isnt cheap.

I have been a client here for a few years. I have about medium length hair, i always get my roots done and 3 diff hi/lo lites. Tonia charges me $75. I think that is excellent price. This also include a shampoo wash and haircut and style! Cant beat that. ALSO, it seems that every time i am in there it is a great atmosphere with "high standards".

Two new salons just opened up, with young and full of life young girls. Primp and tease, and A wild hair. Primp and tease is acutally on facebook, and you can see some of the work they do and the salon there.

Do not go to hair fashions and more. The girls that work their are two faced. I went there for 2 years and Shannon Buck done my hair and she still does. But, she does not work their anymore she got another job at a way nicer place in e-town. while i went there for two years the owner, mitsi, im not sure her last name never once spoke to me she acts better then everye else and she isnt. Once that shannon moved to another place, i realized how 2 faced they were in that place. They act nice to your face and talk behind your back. So if you want to go some where and be treated like your not as good as the owner or treated like your not as good as the other hootchies that work there then i reccomend hair fashions and more. Shannon still does a great job, and most of her clientelle that seen her there completely quit going there when she moved. They all followed her to where she is now. She carried that place, and they done her wrong there. Mitsi acts all holly and plays like shes the best , but its funny how she hires that jennifer girl that use to work at the electric cowbo. Thats a long way away from church if you ask me, and dont act like it is not my buisness , cause i was plainly asked what salon i thought was nice and that place is not . GO SOMEWHHERE ELSE !!!!!!

just because its a classy or sophisticated salon DOES NOT MEAN YOUR GOING TO GET A GOOD HAIR STYLE!!!! THEY EITHER KNOW HOW TO DO HAIR OR THEY DONT!!! DOES NOT MATTER WHERE YOU GO!!! DONT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER!!!!!!!!! JUST BECAUSE THE SALON IS NICE, DOES NOT MEAN THEY CAN DO HAIR......

I agree. These ladies are a lot more mature then what you'll find in the other salons with out the drama.. The owner of Tangles has good morals so she keeps good employees.. I would definitely recommend this salon!
