Yes, I have found out-of-date groceries there. I quit shopping at the Go because of that. You should try the grocery store next to One Stop in JC. Really good deals there.

If their food standards are so bad they would sell out of date food aren't you afraid whats in their meat or how old it is?

I was there today, and everything I bought was in-date. They do buy stuff that is near out of date, but I've been shopping there since they opened, and have been very satisfied. Some stuff is not a deal, but a lot of times there are deals. Don't like it? Don't shop there.
I will.

i was just making an observation,i ave never shopped there before but some one told me that they had good deals so i went to see for myself..i had to cook breakfast a few weeks ago for 13 kids,so i found what i thought was a good deal on sausage.when i got it home and cooked it everything seemed ok til i picked a piece and took a bite.it was the worst thing ever..so i went back and looked at the date and it said march 2012..in dec. of 2012..to me that was a little excessive...when i called the store they said they would remove it from the shelves.dont know if they did because i havent been back..i normally dont look at dates because i should be able to trust the store in which i shop..unless im getting milk then i always look at the date..but anyway,if you all enjoy the store then by all means keep shopping there.do not let my bad experience discourage you..i was just making an observation that maybe we should all pay more attention when we go to the grocery store.

I was there a couple of months ago and they had that Deli Select Lunch meat for a dollar a pack. I checked the date and it was good for 2 more days, so I bought 5 pks and when I got home and I put it in the freezer. I know when there are going to be a few people here, then I will un-thaw a pk and if it is not all eat at 1 meal then my dog has a night treat. The dog treats at wally world are outrageous, so if you don't want to eat the meat, then you sure can't buy real meat treats for $1. My dog sure enjoys them.

The "JUICE" you speak about is NOT juice but a sweet drink. Besides it contains ASPARTAME which is VERY, VERY harmful. Google that and get informed about aspartame; is is also called other names. Rumsfeld is behind that poison. It is important that we read the labels on everything! Otherwise, I shop there often and love it. The store's name is Grocery Outlet. Out of Date only means an item's shelf life-by law. I've never had any problem buying out-of-date items. One just has to pick and choose, using descretion. GO has delightful prices on some wonderful healthy breads-fresh as the $3.00 loaves. Lemons today 8 for $1.00!
It is a good place for great bargains. The staff are always very friendly too, which seems a rarity these days.
