Drop the number from 24 to like 16-18...The thoughts of a commission that has a number of seven or nine for a county population of 60k is unreasonable.

Look at the last year plus at what "KING LEON" has spent on and how much, then start talking about the rest of the county court..

I have noticed from reading the above comments that the ones who are in opposition to citizens rights have a rude way of expressing themselves. That says a lot about them. Not only does it reveal their lack of ability to express themselves in a civilized manner, but it shows a bitter spirit, and a lack of knowledge of our American history. If you have something negative to say that is valid then please be civil and constructive.

I have noticed from the previous negative comments that those who post them seem to lack a civilized manner of expressing themselves. This says a lot about them. If they wish to make a credible impact, then their comments need to reflect a degree of insight, intellegence, knowledge. Then and only then can their comments be taken seriously.

Ray, it would be helpful if you could elaborate to which comments you find to be negative; then the people who posted the negative comments could explain in further detail as to the point they were trying to make!

If one makes a mistake and it's brought to their attention, they will be less likely to repeat that mistake.

Wouldn't you agree?

Same post by the same person under different names on three different posts!

You do seem to fall into that category!

As to Gebe no being able to pronounce the industry; most people from Carter County or anywhere else in the south pronounce their words better than any of their Yankee counter parts according to an Oxford English Professor!

Does it make someone crazy for thinking about using trains as another form of transportation in this vast country of ours?

I think not!

Would it be viable form shipping?

I can't answer that one, because I have not done a study nor have I seen a study on this subject!

If you really think that using trains to transport people or factory goods is going back to the 1920's, then sir your are one dumb son of a bitch!

Just take a look a Japan's or Europe's use of the train system, they are so good that you can set your watch to when a train departs or arrives at any station!

They have proven beyond any shadow of a doubt, that trains can be another viable option of transportation for the US.

The hatred that you and all of the cronies in King Leon's court have for Gebe and the county commissioners just goes to prove that
You all will never have the intelligence to win any kind of election in this town or county ever again!

Who cares what is on the video?

Did you post the entire meeting, or just the parts that made the people you hate and/or disagree with look bad?

What is there to condone, I watched people that were elected say what was on their mind?

It seems to me that your entire goal in life is slam any and every one that you either don't like or disagree with their point of view!

Your blinded hatred for the commissioners is obvious, you and the other cronies need to wake up and realize that the world doesn't revolve around Carter County!

I'm not on the commission; I'm just one person from the county that really doesn't like King Leon and his cronies and the vitriol hatred that they spew out every time they try to speak!

If you could come up with just one original thought and I don't think you could without the help of King Leon, then people might accept what you are trying to say!

When you start you thought by slamming someone that you hate so much that you'd call them a liar if they told you are a winner of a million dollar jackpot!

No one will ever vote for you or anyone else aligned with King Leon!

When Von Cannon stood to speak the response was actually wait, sit down Mr. Von Cannon, just wait. Mr. Von Cannon rose to speak when someone had already started speaking. That was never mentioned or recognized for some reason.
I understand the statement trying to be made by doing this, as honorable as it could be, they took their voters voice out of the picture when the left the floor. When that is done, they give up the right to vote and their right to debate is gone.
They were asked to return and refused, giving up their votes on the financial matters at hand.
You are not familiar with Parlimentary Procedure are you? He need only stand and wait to be recognized by the chair to speak. If he wishes he may stand the entire time someone else has the floor. Talk about: "not recognized for some reason", The chair (brother Yogi) CANNOT randomly, unilaterally, make the decision, "I don't believe I will entertain that motion." He doesn't have a choice! If there is a motion and a second (there was) then he MUST allow for "discusion" AND he MUST give anyone/ everyone interested in speaking the opportunity to speak, then and only then should someone be allowed to "call for question" then there can be a vote. Yogi should know better and Keith Bowers should have called him on his error, assuming that Keith B isn't knee deep in this.
I sometimes wish that they hadn't forfeited their voting rights, but what difference would it have made? Approximately 18 were going to VOTE IN what ever they wanted and if the 6 had stayed their vote wasn't going to amount to anything anyway. They knew it too. Everyone in the room knew it. Watch Yogi on the chair as he smirks and half-grins the entire meeting. He really seems to relish the control.

the one that got me was when king yogi said he would not entertain a motion to allow reducing the size of the commission to be placed on the next ballot. the only time the chairman can refuse to entertain a motion is when the motion will impede the business at hand. its called dilatory tacticts. now i don't think yogi it that smart, as the saying goes a blind hog will find a nut sometimes. but that bunch of boobs do it all the time by either tabling the issue or sending it back to committee. everybody bitches about humpherey, its the othere 18 that don't know which way is up.

It appears to me that attorney Bowers is in with Yogi and crowd, not being very supportive of Mayor Humphrey. He is paid to give legal advice and really should stay out of the fray.

It seems to me that commissioners pledge an oath to do what is best for the county and not what is best for their own pockets.

Not allowing the people to vote on an issue that could save taxpayers tens of thousands is a huge conflict of interest and a violation of the oath they took when they assumed office.
