A couple of weeks ago I stopped at a yard sale on G street.I really got mad.Apparently there is a shared driveway.Any way the neighbor came over and was an out right bad person. She put her finger in her face and demanded her to remove a car that had parked on her side. Why the lady having a sale stayed so calm is beyond me.She did tell the customers that it happens every time she has a sale and she was sure the law would be down in a few minutes.Sure enough here came the law.I don't understand this and I would hope some one with more knowledge could help me.If it is a shared driveway then how come someone cant park there for a few minutes.if its been there for years then everything should be grandfather in.Someone needs to tell that bad neighbor to Love Thy Neighbor Or Move.

There is usually a bad neighbor in every neighborhood. Being able to afford to move is a wonderful option!

i have been in that situation because my apartment used to share a driveway with a house. it may be a shared driveway but half of that driveway is the other homeowners. so, she can request that people move if she doesn't want them on her side. when i first moved into my apartment, i was not aware of that rule and parked my car on what happened to be the neighbor's side. she also called the cops instead of coming to tell me. It was the cops who explained the difference.

Sometimes I think people get so bored with their lives that a car parked in a shared drive way is enough to make that persons day full of action, so if that means making a a** out of themselves...they really know care.
There is usually 2 on every block that go a little nuts over the smallest things. The old people I can usually tolerate and understand, but the young idiots...different story...they have no excuse.
If that was a shared driveway, I would think they would be no excuse for him to call the police. If his car was blocked, I could see or if a guest of his couldn't park. Other than those two situations I could find noway a officer could tell the people to move cars. Who knows though...crazy world.

If someone was preparing to leave, I could understand asking for a car to be moved, but this doesn't sound like that. Sounds like somebody just wanted to be hateful.

That lady probably worked her ass off trying to pull together a yard sale, then for a hateful idiot to cause a fuss over a parking space....just enough to make a person flip.

I know the lady every one is talking about and she is an awful person. She gives her neighbor all kinds of trouble. Her neighbor is a very nice easy going person .I am afraid things will explode one day.i heard she the bad neighbor is getting married and she threatened the neighbor with her husband. Its woman like this that causes people to get hurt.God will take care of her one day.Right now things might be going good for her cause the devil has her soul. Some one needs to tell her what she doing before its too late.Love thy Neighbor is a commandment from God.Pray for her.

I have been to the yard sales on West G street. It is like a soap opera. I like talking to the woman who has the sales. She is very nice. The neighbor will come out and give her mean looks as she walks down the driveway. One of my times shopping the police showed up. I didn't know what was going on and I had to laugh when I heard that the neighbor was complaining about someone parking in front of her house. How many of us have parked in front of someone's house or turned in someone's driveway? We better be careful because the next time the police might be called on us. This thought made me laugh and then I started thinking what if the police were needed on a more serious matter and were unavailable or were late getting there due to silly complaints such as these. I think that someone who makes such silly complaints such be fined just as people are who file false complaints. We need to get along with our neighbors. In years past our neighbors were our friends and we looked out for each other and helped when needed. Now many times we don't even know who our neighbors are unless they get mad over something. If I was the yard sale lady I would be trying to sell my house along with the other stuff she is selling and move away to a more peaceful environment. Of course you might have to take a loss on the house due to location (to neighbor), location (to neighbor), location (to neighbor).

Hey maybe yardsale lady could sell tickets to the drama. She might make more money on the tickets than sellin her merchandise.

Solution to the problem: Hey you, Bad Neighbor, paint a stripe down the middle of your drive, then "PRIVATE DRIVE, Police Protected" every foot or so up and down your private space. Now is that not the perfect solution to your problem with your nice neighbor and her yard sales? This solution could also save you blood pressure rising and a future heart attack for you!

No, no Leroy. Both sides there were battling each other. Apparently Yard Sale Lady is keeping her cool while Bad Neighbor rants and raves aaaand calls the police. I don't believe the Hatfields and McCoys ever called in the police/peacemakers, did they?

I haven't hard of yard sale lady retailiating but you know a person can only take so much.I hope dispute on driveway doesn't lead to this.
Hatfields and Mccoys
The second recorded instance of violence in the feud occurred 13 years later, in 1878, after a dispute about the ownership of a hog: Floyd Hatfield had the hog, but Randolph McCoy said it was his. The pig was only in the fight because some Hatfields believed that since the pig was on their land, it was theirs. The McCoys objected, saying that the "notches" (markings) on the pig's ears were McCoy, not Hatfield marks. The matter was taken to the local Justice of the Peace, Anderson "Preacher Anse" Hatfield, who ruled for the Hatfields by the testimony of Bill Staton, a relative of both families. In June 1880, Staton was killed by two McCoy brothers, Sam and Paris, later acquitted on the grounds of self-defense.

I know who you are talking about.I have been to her sales and she does tell people not to park on the other side of her driveway because the neighbor would call the law. Then some one said she had cameras in her house,i dont know if this is true or not but this is real bad behavior.Yard sale lady said she couldnt have a sale in peace and she was tired of fighting the devil and if she finds another house that she will probably move. Some of her family has boarding houses, retired vets, disabled people, and less fortunate ,the governorment pays well for this,a family member has one will 11 or 12 in it.They usually dont have cars.I guarntee you the bad neighbor will hate this cause this will be a mess.

THios is a stiuation in my opinion where the cops need to tell the bitch sto stop calling them, or they will arrest her for misuse of emergency services. I don't know the exact name of the law, but it's close. This is utterly rediculous that our tax dollars go to stupid shit like this when the cops could be doing other things, which I'm sure they'd rather be doing. What a miserable c*nty bitch she sounds like. I applaud yard sale lady for it sounds like handling the situation in a much better fashion than I would.

Lol, if it was me, they wowould've threatened to take me to jail for cussing and threatening bodily harm to said neighbor. It wouldn't be the first time, haha.

Did anybody ever think that maybe there is a reason she gets so upset? I used to live beside a woman that had yard sales close to every weekend. I cant count the times I couldnt get out of my driveway, and people were even parking in my yard. I finally had to be the bad guy. I didnt like it, but didnt like my driveway blocked all day either. Trash thrown out, or kicked out of cars, cigarettes thrown everywhere.
She had comapny all the time, which blocked the driveway then, too.
So, I guess if you caught me on a bad day, I could be a bad neighbor.
