New faces same crap! Athletics first! Our board's lack of education is killing our children's chance at an education.

I think you are a little confused about their lack of education. Most of the people at the board of education in Carter County carry a Master's Degree or higher. If I'm not mistaken the superintendent carries a doctorate degree. I would get my facts correct before I commented about one's education!

Hey dumbass, I believe we were talking about the school board....... There is no confusion there, you are referring to central office staff, that my friend is not the school board. Board members are elected officials, no education required.

Yeah, but he can't spell. Tells me that ETSU must be handing out those degrees to anybody willing to fork over the money. He can't add either... he told me I was the only one and he had 2 or 3 others.

Here are some facts from the dumbass!!!

Jerry McMahan: McMahan used the skills he obtained in the military as a vocational instructor in three different school systems in East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. He started his teaching career in 1978 at Virginia High School in Bristol. He also taught for three years at Elizabethton High School in their vocational department. Most of McMahan’s time in education, however, was spent in the Sullivan County School System. For 13 years, he was a computer drafting instructor and an assistant principal at Sullivan East High School in Bluff City.

Looks like this guy has no education!

Rusty Barnett: In addition to his time as fire captain with the Elizabethton Fire Department, Barnett has been a substitute teacher and a middle school coach in the county school system for nearly 20 years. THe Hampton High School alumnus has taken numerous business and supervision classes at Northeast State Community College and at the State of Tennessee Fire Academy.

WHOA!!!! He has no education either!

Craig Davis: Davis, who is a 1966 graduate of Unaka High School, received his teaching certificate and Bachelor’s Degree from East Tennessee State University in 1970. He also attended classes at the University of North Carolina and Milligan College. Davis was employed as a teacher in the Carter County School System for nearly a decade before pursuing a career in the transportation and mechanical fields. He retired from Roadway Express in 2004.

Seems he is uneducated as well!!!

Regardless if I got it wrong the first time as to who you were discussing you still got it wrong on whether the elected officials are or are not educated!

Wow, now there is a brain trust if I've ever seen one. At least McMahan is worried about the education end of the business .........
