I hope every one of you low life sub humans who think you have some "code" while breaking the law, and ruining people's lives with drugs, gets arrested, sent to a lengthy jail term and ran out of this county forever.

there is such a thing called entrapment and i am very familiar with this situation at unaka and that is all it is..they sent her in to warm up to other students and use word of mouth to finger dealers then set them up...what i see ironic in the whole situation is the cop that was in charge of the school and in charge of the narcotics officer is flirting and from what i have seen in fb messages and txt messages trying to seduce students in the highschool....hmmm..pretty fucked up society were living in nowadays

Only thing I see is you pointing fingers at the police and condoning the drug pushers and users, labeling them as victims. All the while pretending to be carrying the torch of justice...lol....Pretty absurd.

What is really disturbing about the situation is that they did it to CHILDREN. Yes, drugs are bad, and people shouldn't do them they destroy lives....but is our high schools really the biggest threat to Carter County? The question is, why are we targeting underage kids when there is bigger things going on out there in the world? Why not go to the colleges and bust the bigger fish? After all you would think the older more experienced ones will have the bigger connections..am I right? Not to mention they're actually old enough to do time. High school students however are young impressionable people. Our job as adults is to guide them down the right path, not send in someone to manipulate them and set them up like we did. High School is the time where they try to figure out who they are and what they want to be in life. Sure some kids make mistakes and experiment with drugs..people do make mess up no ones perfect, not even you self righteous people with your judgmental comments. Hell, some children even mess with drugs to look cool and impress their friends. So let's say a new girl came into school, acting like she was just the coolest thing and was filling your head with all these crazy lies and manipulating you of course these children now days are going to jump and do whatever she wants. Drugs and sex is the 'in' thing now. What we should be doing is trying to keep our kids off of it, and help them have a future....not destroy their lives with bogus charges before it has a chance to even begin. We should be out there getting the people that are selling to our teenagers, the real monsters, not harassing a bunch of kids. We wonder what is wrong with our youth these days, and why they act the way they do, well look how we act towards them. We can't expect them to be a good honest person, when we don't act like that ourselves...

If this is true, it makes me proud to be in the criminal justice field. Nip it in the bud before they get even more out of control. And for the finger pointers, get over yourselves. And if a parent is upset, be upset at yourself for not being a better influence on your child. Undercover agents don't "ruin lives" drugs do.

Nip it in the bud? It sounds as if you're like, let's go after the little kids because they're the danger out there. You know what these drug dealers are going to do now that we got half the kids locked up somewhere? Find more kids to replace them, possibly younger now, because all that matters to them is money and drugs. They even have the advantage now, because they know we're sending under covers out in school. You think they care about these kids getting in trouble? No, they're laughing because our police officers and drug force are going after the 'teenagers' instead of getting anywhere near them. But our city feels as if our highschoolers our a huge threat and where all the drugs are at. Thankfully, we got people like you out there that is worried about the teenagers and the beginning stages, while letting the adults run free, using our children as drug peddlers. Thank god we have you as a great influence for our children! Parents can only go so far, you think a teenager is going to listen to a parent before they listen to a friend in high school?! Come on now, you really can't be that ignorant. Look at the media and the world our children is growing up in. Parents can only go so far.....teachers, friends, and our government officials are also suppose to be a good influence...Or am I wrong? What I'm getting from you is "Oh you're 17 and have a little pot or what have you? Let's throw you in prison! Forget your college degrees you junkie! This is a mistake free zone." If you want to get technical about it everyone is on something. Be it nicotine, caffeine, or what ever the doctor prescribes you for "insomnia, back paint, etc" The truth is it all is a mind altering substance, rather you have a prescription or not. How about we stop being hypocrites and pointing fingers and send someone in there to put a stop to the drugs...like a after school program or something where they can learn the consequences. Not someone that's whispering in their ear.."get me drugs...here is money" But hey maybe it's just me. What do I know, I'm a foster parent with 6 well behaved kids that's never once thought about drugs, because I'm open and honest with them. Not judgmental and overbearing.

Cant speak for FV but I don't think his intent was locking up kids. I believe he was saying go after whoever is bringing the drugs into the schools as a means to stop it.

"We should be out there getting the people that are selling to our teenagers"...duhhh, what do you think this leads to?
If anyone has charges, it's not destroying lives, it's saving lives. This is when the wheel starts turning, and if conditions are bad enough to send a undercover cop among these kids, then think goodness they did.
Your post is a example of what's wrong with the youth today, if indeed your not a kid yourself. Excuses, for everything that comes along, that's the problem with parents. Your child gets caught with drugs; "How dare you lie to them, about who you are...WTH"

I was a Unaka alumni of the 90's and sex, drinking, and pot was about all you seen. Conditions has changed, and you can't turn a blind eye toward the problems.
Nobody will be charged with something they had no part in. This investigation will be handled like any other. As far going to colleges to get drug dealers; sweetie, mostly this is were the line ends for kids on drugs. Apparently, you've never been on a college campus. People are striving for a better life, and they stayed away from the "rift" of drugs in high school, plus they are smart enough not to speak with anyone about anything.
Again, this will not destroy a life, this may give a life a chance, if the parents are not dumb enough to under mind the process.

You know what, you're probably right. I did go too far by putting words in his mouth. I'm sorry for that. It just worries me to know this is happening to kids. And I really don't think anything is going to change unless we get the main people. Now that I think about it, why isn't anyone wondering where they got it? You know...they could be getting it from home. They should look into the parents as well, and not just targeting kids. Being a mother myself nothing terrifies me more than thinking one of my children will go down that path. More so when I've read reports of parents out there actually being the one to hand their own kids drugs..even their kids friends. Plus with all these reality shows out there making teen pregnancy and drugs look cool...I'm scared for the future.
