I checked this out on Snopes.com and it says there is no proof for this claim. According to the article, Wal-Mart, as well as other brands, sell milk with and without rBST. If you are concerned about the growth hormone component, which is not yet proven to be safe or unsafe, look for words like"organic" "hormone free" and rBST free" on the labels of whatever brand you buy. The FDA says rBST is safe for consumers and that milk from rBST treated cows is no different from milk from non-treated cows. rBST is banned in Canada, not for potential ill effect to humans, but because of its harmful effects on the cows (udder irritation)

I have been buying Wal-Mart Great Value milk for the last few years and nothing has happened to myself or my children, plus I do a lot of my shopping there as well however I don't buy their meat because I to don't like it. As far as the milk goes I think it is just fine.

You may also want to consider a pregnancy test, if this is a new problem. That can sometimes explain abnormal bleeding because some woman will bleed throughout pregnacy. Just a thought. |

What about Sam's Country Fresh milk? There is no label on it. Does anyone know if it is safe?

Well I bet fat people laugh at you!!! |

The article says the girl had been having mentrual problems since age 8??!! It may happen, but I've never heard of an eight year old starting her cycle. I drink milk every day of my life and I have since birth. So far, so good. I have not been free of health problems but I don't believe they can be specifically contributed to milk. It would take an aweful lot of testing to prove that rBST is the sole agent of cause. Every single organism the person has ever come into contact with would have to be examined.
