I think the obit says that it was Steve J. Grindstaff of Johnson City, who died in Elizabethton.

It's dumb enough when a teen says it.
Completely incorrect grammar.

Possibly the deceased's family? BTW, what in the name of Common Sense is a hillbilly Yankee? I'd really like to know.

Do what? The paper stated he has a buyer.Wonder WHO has this kind of money beside Mr. Grindstaff...maybe one of those Mexican drug lords? Waste Management? I'd be very surprised if this whole community could come up with his asking price...well, we must leave out a few of our citizens, those that run things and look after our health care... a few of those may be able to sing "I'm in the money now". Darn, I was disappointed the auction was stopped. I wanted to bid. I've got a jampacked jar of coppers.

I believe he wants to "downsize and move in the Ridges. I wonder if this is a slum area. Probably; he could have moved to the nicer part of the area up in Stoney Creek. My mansion comes with a soothing waterway. Darn, Steve, what's wrong with you? You missed out on my open air bathtub. Sorry, good buddy.

The Ridges in Jonesborough? Why...?

In my estimation, "The Ridges> is an overpriced development with member fees that is wedged in between two cow pastures (and small golf course and clubhouse) with very noticeable a high voltage transmission line that appears to bisect the entire neighborhood.

I was being facetious with "downsizing to the Ridges"and "wondering if it was a slum". Out of sight prices there but I didn't know there are highpower electric lines. Poor unsuspecting people. Their search for status and prestige - moving into THE Ridges!

I'm so happy being just me. I'd hate having to compete with a GoGetter having to compete for status and prestige; give me an old cold 'tater and a smile. That's all I need; and of course, my nice running stream. Those cow pastures will most likely always be cow pastures because of the power lines. Haha, wonder if the wind ever blows from the pasture to the Ridgers noses?
