What was the purpose of McKinney coming to Unaka as head coach if he was only going to keep the same bunch of clowns as assistants? He needed to start fresh with a new coaching staff and get rid of all the"creekers". One way or another, the ensors have to have their hand in EVERYTHING that goes on up there. Comments anyone????

Unakka is not a football school kids to soft. Need to stick to B-ball and B-ball those sports are not contact. Mckinney is not a very good coach, but will do as good as anyone at the U of the creek. Like I said to soft. The Dogs and the Landers are harder folks do better at F-ball they are not soft creekers are soft.

Unaka is satisfied with mediocre. If one kid starts to do better than a "certain few" then they don't let them play. McKinney is a good coach but he has surrounded himself with the same crew that was with Coach Ensor. If you're going to move on, do it right. Start fresh with new assistants. Naylor and Revis is OK, but Ryan Nave is a freaking joke. Did he ever play more than a 1/2 a quarter? I don't remember it if he did. And McInturff, he couldn't play so how in the heck can he coach same with Nave.

I won't single out coaches by name but the biggest problem at Unaka and a lot of other places is that they are not willing to listen to any new ideals from the players or anyone else nor are the willing to try something different. You are correct by saying they don't get their best players on the field. A perfect example is Hampton fullback Taylor Edwards. When he came out for football at Unaka he was a backup lineman. A year later and he starts in Hampton's backfield. I read where he might get 1000 yards this year. You probably have some other players who are in the same boat but until the coaches become open minded and try new ideals, the losing seasons will just keep piling up.

UNAKA WON OVER Cloudland tonight at Goddard field. The final score: 19 to 15!!!! CONGRADULATIONS!!! Boys all of you were outstanding, Chris Beach, continues to play a big role for UNAKA, when he gets playing time. There are several players we never hear or read about that play a big part for Unaka football, just know that alot of people do notice you. Keep up the hard work BOYS!!! I sure am "Tickled PINK" for the win on the CREEK.

It would appear that your analysis above was somewhat inaccurate, this year, don't you think?

Yea they won. Was it perhaps because they changed their game plan in the 3rd or was it luck? We'll see in a couple of weeks. Congratulations Rangers, way to go.

Looks like the joke is on you Tutti Frutti! If you are going to run your mouth about people, then please have the guts to give your name. What does playing experience have to do with coaching anyway? Are you really that stupid? All these coach's put in long hours for very little pay, so show some respect or grow some balls! Maybe you should go back to school and learn write complete sentences. Oh wait, I never taught an English Class, so I guess I can't teach your stupid ass anything right?

OMG GetReal People OK, Did you get your feelings hurt? Sounds like it. Yea their winning, but for how long? Hampton crushed them just like everyone knew they would.

A good coach would know when to substitute, when to play big or go small. Sure they put in long hours but so do the players. So don't get on here calling someone stupid ass if you don't know what you're talking about.

Learn to read. I called them a stupid ass because they can't write a legible sentence. I think that they opened themselves up for criticism when they brought up names and made fun of hard working people. I see what I consider mistakes made by coaches on the college and pro levels weekly, so how can we expect high school coaches to be perfect? Phillip Fulmer couldn't even win the National Championship with Peyton Manning under center. Tom Brady was a back-up at Michigan. Not to mention these are high school kids that they are coaching!

I didn't say they weren't hard working just that it appeared they didn't utilize all the potential that the players had. Hey perhaps since you see coaching on the college level everyday you should call and give them some pointers.

This is for all the people including you GetRealPeopleOk that enjoy Donald Ensor being gone and the others that think they know it all. My son is a very good up and coming player that attends Hunter but after what I saw tonight by our coaches against Unicoi he will not be coming to Unaka. Football is about more than just wins and loses. It's also about discipline and teaching kids life lessons. The current coaching staff has no ideal what that's all about. The language coming off the field by a couple of Unaka players was unexcusable plus very embarassing to our school. Don't pretend like you didn't hear it because all of you were standing right there. Ensor may have had a bad season last year but I'll take his discipline over a few wins against some sorry teams anyday. Who have you beat this year. A bad Cloudland team, Kings Academy, Hancock County and North Greene. Wow. And since I have a few ties with the central office I'm sure you won't mind Monday morning if I give them a call. I positive that I won't be the only one.

I agree. Jum Hastings was a wonderful coach, but again you got the Ensor's and all that bunch of loosers who wanted him to bow down to them.
