Conflict of Interest

Awww. The EBOE is crying to Christie. They say ‘it’s not fair’ that the voters voted down the budget. That ‘it’s not fair’ that the city council members work for or have family members that work for the EBOE. Of all people, the EBOE know what is and is not fair. Examples of their not playing fair are too long to list. Other towns are at a disadvantage because city council members that are to decide on a budget have no clue about school budgets. Here we have voters and city council members well aware of where the cuts should be made, and the EBOE thinks the democratic process is unfair…
Those poor overpaid and overstaffed administrators. How will they manage having to actually do their work? How will they be able to renew the lease on the luxury car? The Horror! That the council would dare put the interests of the children and teachers FIRST! And where’s the EEA in all this? They should be on supporting the council who is supporting the teachers. Why are they defending the administrators? Do the administrators pay them dues? Go cry to Christie. Bret will ask whether your teachers agreed to a pay freeze.‘No?’ Well then get the teachers to take a pay freeze before Trenton gives you your budget. Will be Bret’s reply. Which will be OK with the EBOE, since it wasn’t their fault teachers got the short end, and administration gets the kids and teacher’s lunch money.
