Haha. This Puerto Rican "mainstay" on the avenue only recently (3 or 4 years) began serving Puerto Rican food. The previous owner, Martin, is Cuban and El Palmar was a favorite hang-out of old Cuban men for as long as I can remember (15+ years at least).

Now it's a cuban and puerto rican restaurant I have been serving puerto rican food for the last 7 years.
