It is a shame with so many other tragedies going on that a sister would stab her own flesh and blood. Even if your sister give you alot of drama to stab her is ridiculous and crazy. I am sure that no matter the legal punishment is it won't take away the ugly scar placed on the family especially the sister who was stabbed.

Perth Amboy is a great place to live and to raise a family. There is never any crime here. Everyone gets along and there are never any fights. Police are kind and the community really respects them. Why, just the other day I saw an old woman trying to cross over a puddle in the street and a good samaritan ran over, took off his jacket and sweater and covered the puddle so that the woman could cross. How charming!

So, if you have the means, I highly suggest moving here. You won't regret it.

Ahh Perth Amboy...I love this town.

LOL...this HAS to be sarcasm...you are so funny!
Marine Views down by the water looked so affordable and attractive in the apartment listing for it online and even when i went there to check out the area...couldn't get in to see the apartment, though...but the area around there is well maintained...It really is disheartening and a shame to hear about the crime and delinquency ...
i would otherwise move there if it wasn't unsafe..but now i'm forced to look elsewhere just because of the crime...it sucks...

I really can't speak on the crime that goes on in Perth Amboy because up til now I haven't witnessed any or heard about anything recent except this incident. But then I'm not in the street and I pretty much keep to myself also. I have lived in Perth Amboy since February, I live a block away from the waterfront and I like it so far. I have heard stories of crime and a lot of other nonsense in Keasbey, and when I was apartment hunting I thought Keasbey was pretty run down in comparison to when my mother lived there 15 years ago. But overall, I don't think it's really that bad. I feel like if you're not part of the problem than it won't effect you.

As for this incident...the only thing I can say is there had to be something more serious going on and the "shirt" thing may have just been that straw that broke the camels back so to speak. I mean honestly me and my brother argue and there are times when I want to knock the...you know what out of him but I don't because I know that will only fuel the fire and can become even worse.

This girl obviously was angry and couldn't control that anger, I hope that she has remorse for what she has done to her sister and that this family can heal from this tragedy.

Have you heard any bad things about the area around Marine Views apartments on the waterfront? It looks nice but I hesitate to move there because of the general talk of crime in other areas of Perth Amboy...

Like I said, I'm a good block from the waterfront, in my opinion it is very quiet and calm here. I trust (even though I wouldn't) I can send my children to the park by themselves and they won't be hurt. Honestly, before I moved out here I used to come out here everyday with my kids anyway just to come to this area. Take them to the park & walk on the little boardwalk. To me it's peaceful where I live. And if I'm not mistaken those apartments are only 3 blocks from me...and I think it's a good area. There are a lot of older people in the area which may contribute to the quiet. The park I take my kids to is directly across the street from those apartments...I say if you really want to get a general idea of how it is, come out here at various times of the day because that's the only way you will get a real feel of what it's like.

Hey if you move out here...we could be nieghbors...lol

You sound like a nice person and I would be happy to have a neighbor such as you. I was out there last weekend and it is quite tranquil during the day, at least. At night, I heard from reviews online that they get the occasional young revelers making too much noise. But that review was from like 2003...it may be different now.

I've seen the park you're talking about. It looks to be well maintained as the whole area is. There are also some nice Victorians on that street.

YOU DON"T EVEN KNOW!!! I love the houses over here. Sometimes I take walks just to look at them and take pictures. That park is very well maintained. The best part is during the summer there is like a huge sprinkler system in the middle of the playground and they have it on and the kids around here like to go play out there in bathing suits...

Yea, occasionally there are some younger folks out here they will have their car stereos up loud and hang out but they are harmless and usually they don't carry that too late in the evenings...it's usually during the day when it's nice out and everyone is usually out on their porches just enjoying the weather you know. It's not in the middle of the night people hanging out in the streets being ignorant. Since I've been coming down here and been living here I have to say that it's pretty calm. My 15 year old says it's boring...lol...so that should tell you something.
