Depends on when the house was built. Some early homes had bad siding/roofing. Lots have been fixed.
If you don't like kids stay away from this neighborhood. Constantly playing in the street.

lots o' houses, very small roads, lots o' kids. Lots o' bad neighbors with bad attitudes. 30+ homes for sale.

Not only bad siding but there has been numerous cases of bad foundations that are already cracking.

maybe if the deputy and trooper that lived in there enforced the laws there wouldn't be so many bad neighbors. Are they scared?

I know the trooper and deputy. They have been trying to get a grip on the lawless 4-wheeling teens and speeders. Problem is that some of the people in the neighborhood think just because they moved to the 'country' they think they can do whatever they please.

How is having bad neighbors anything to do with law enforcement? Is it the sheriff's department or the state trooper division's duty to shoot someone for not saying hi or not returning the weed eater?

Anyway, as I've heard it, the deputy is the reason several people are moving out of there anyway...

And I guess you folks have totally forgotten about the big drug bust that happened back in Eagle Creek not that long ago....

I find Eagle Creek to be a nice neighborhood in a good location. So what if every neighbor doesn't wave at me---I didn't see waving as a requirement in the covenants.

Agree. We love this place!
Every golf community has its growing pains. But Americans want it now or yesterday. So the weak are weeded out over time and the strong watch their property values grow.

You fools can't GIVE your homes away. Many houses over there have been on the market for many many months!
Yeah, your house is "worth" more than when you bought it, but good dang luck selling it!

Of course there are homes for sale--look at the size of the neighborhood and the amount of military folks who get moved around. I've seen some that are overpriced sit on the market for a while, but if you notice, it isn't the same homes for sale from 6 months ago.

I live in Moyock not in Eagle Creek, but very near to it. My neighborhood is Wildwood Acres.Close enough to see Eagle Creek every thing around hear was farm land. Some homes in Eagle Creek have very poor construction and some are subjuct to flooding due to poor drainage and slab construction. My neighbohood has neither problem Eagle Creek has all of the problems typical of tract housing.

I live in Eagle Creek. Yes we have a cookie cutter home, so what. My house is very well built, unlike some I understand. My house is my home; I make it unique with my landscape pride and tasteful interior decor provided by my lovely stay at home wife. Also, being in the military I am not fortunate in the pay department but I consider myself rich. Rich in pride, two healthy children, family and God. I donít complain that I have a house that looks like others in the neighborhood. I have been to some of the most God forsaken crap holes on this earth, here and abroad, and I told myself a long time ago that to complain about my fortune, would be a slap in the face of all I have and will accomplish.
Also, when it rains and water causes problems just remember that a little water in your yard or up in your slab is small potatoes compared to true destruction of say Katrina. And would desert like droughts be more welcome, some people (farmers) pray every day for more rain in their life.
Donít be so myopic, take off the blinders, and look at the real threats and problems in this world. Love what you have, cherish it because if world trends keep up than we may never see the level of fortune we take for granted every day.

Are the new builders on the left side of the neighborhood doing a better job than the earlier tract homes? Any updates? I hear the golf course was looking much better the end of last season.....

I moved from Eagle Creek last year and I miss it terribly. Our house was beautiful and built soundly and we did not have a complaint in 4 years. I look every week for homes in Eagle Creek with the hopes of returning to the neighborhood. My kids loved it! Every place has its bad apples but there is far more good in the neighborhood than bad.

I love it too. So much, that I need to sell my 2 story in the estates section, but want to buy the ranch down the street. If you know anyone who wants a 5 bedroom brick, let me know. [email protected]
