I am sure she did not have renter's insurance, which places her in a very bad situation. As far as the owner's of the property, their policy will cover any structural damages to the property. The current tenant may have to be displaced while the property is repaired, but she may be on her own if she does not have renter's insurance. One final thing, since the trees were adjacent to the property, if the adjacent lot owner is found liable for the damages, after the claim has been paid, the insurance carrier for the owner's property, which was damaged, will inact the subrogation clause of the policy, which allows them to take legal action against a third party responsible for a loss to an insured, after a claim has been paid.

Time to clear more trees from around the house. Once is bad enough, much less a second time. I am glad no one was seriously hurt.

look at the tree it was dead. Should have been cut down long ago. neighbors ins. will pay for damages but will sue or charge neighbor for the damage. Dead trees tha fall and damage property are not covered. This is hardly news worthy and hardly worth a trip to the hospital via ambulance. Who's going to pay for that? Get a grip on life sh!t happens.

It's nature get over it. Buy your own home and cut all your trees down. Then don't cry when the natural resources are gone. You're alive and your kids are fine could be worse.By the way were the trees there when you moved in?

the home may be liveable but no one wants to stay in a place where rain has fallen into their homes and the floors could be damaged but not only that she could have damage for a while not only from the water. That is a big fright and in the last 2 weeks that has been the second tree the struck her house. But that wasnt a good week before the second tree struck the house. All i can do is pray put your trust into the lord and evertyhing will be okay.

Thanks for this article. I am a new blogger so this is very helpful. Itís hard to know how long it takes to make a successful blog, so ďbeing patientĒ is among some of the best advice you can give. Itís easy to get discouraged when you donít see movement, but this give me some encouragement.

Thanks much.
