What an offensive waste of tax dollars - the State's Attorney who approved felony charges should be ashamed. How much do you think it costs to hold a trial? Think about it - the salaries for the clerks, sheriffs, judge, state's attorneys and not to mention the cost of incarceration for six years minimum if she had been convicted? Instead we now will use our tax dollars to pay for this woman to check in with her probation officer for the next year! The state's attorney's office should find a better use for their time and money - maybe they can host a training seminar for their staff on using common sense.
