Respect is earned not automatically given and Hawaii is a part of the US so its everyone's home not just locals.

The Indian Nations are also part of the US. There are jurisdictional "respects" paid to these nations. Hawaii was arguably usurped by White plantation owners, and the legitimate monarchy's overthrow has been acknowledged by subsequent US Presidents as illegal.
What's to argue anymore? Hawaiians have a point, just as Executive Order 9066 that interned AJAs during WWII deserved to be repaired, so too does the 1893 overthrow. Case closed--pass the Akaka Bill and give a substantial part of the 50th State back to the "Hawaiian Nation."
Geez...

The Akaka Bill is a race based, racist unconstitutional, unAmerican, illegal piece of legislation which is why it has never and will never pass Congress...not even when the Dems had both chambers did it pass. Akaka's legacy will be the do nothing Senator who tried and failed to pass his racist bill.

And this coming from a Hawaiian!

to answer the question...if you are Asian you are a "local" immediately or by default... anyone else is considered by that Asian pop. to be outsiders and to be hated. asian in hawaii = local..native and of course entitled and racist. Fact.

It's even sadder to hear an asain call someone haole.

Haole is as Haole does.
You get what you give.
My buddy from Scotland is not considered "Haole" even though he get red hair and no talk "da kine." He's accepted because he has natural aloha in his heart (grew up in a small hamlet near Ayr).
You be nice, you get nice. Simple.

You must live in a HOME as this bubbly BS is just that BS. You might want to try out the real world one day and quit living on the gov. teat.

"you be nice you get nice" LMAO oh the millions of real examples I could give you that shows just how far out in lala land you really are. But I will just give you one. Sandy Hook...by your logic those little kids should be alive and getting nice. Need local examples that proves your theory wrong check the local news or better yet go outside FOR ONCE.

Reality is a bitch and I could understand why you avoid reality bu choice but the sad thing is I think you believe your fantasy world is reality.

Oh yes and your buddy is haole by the hawaiian definition of it not what the asians have changed it to be. Oh but you didn't mean haole you meant cracker. As I said everyone in Hawaii is haole except the hawaiians but stupid asians like to think this is their land when they do not belong here either and are the buggest racists and takers in hawaii.
