I don't think i would want to live in it if it were given to me. What a tragic loss of life and no one will be punished.

No way, no way could I live in that house. They could bulldoze the house down and build a new one and I still couldn't live on that property. 'The Shining' comes to mind....Ooooh no way

I've stayed at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, and I loved it...My former Landlords son was the Chef there for years...
You see, death, as unfortunate as it is, is still a natural part of life...That's not to say I would enjoy knowing something terribly violent happened in the home, but JonBenet wasn't completely gruesome when she was found either...Strangulation produces minimal wounding, so she would have likely appeared sleeping...
I've stayed in plenty of homes where people have died...Great grandma-in-law, nephews, friends homes and some of them were children...
I believe that folks leave a part of themselves where they pass as well..."Ism's", scents, habits, lots of little things...Not to be disturbing, but more like they need acknowledgment once in awhile...

I believe the spirits of the dead remain on earth until their death has been solved. Proof of JonBenet's tragic death is still in the home. Wish I was able to be there to see for myself.

They should tear it down. I agree. Let someone buy the land if they want.

Get a grip...All I did was stated FACTS...If you don't like the manner in which I presented them (and anyone here will tell you it could have been much, much worse) too bad...
It's obvious that you cannot handle talking about the various manners of death, which is understandable...However, some of us can, and have accepted them for what they are...

THAT house would not be known if it weren't for the media circus that surrounded the case...Crimes are committed everyday, and deaths happen as well...However, it's through media sensationalism that such locations become tainted...The home where the "Tate/LaBianca" murders were committed is also up for sale...I would also have no problem living there, as I've seen the home and it's beautiful...People choosing to dwell on the tragic is the real issue...
Driving by this particular home, you would never know what Charles Manson's minions did there...You wouldn't even know it was the same home...

You still have a sick mind.
Ya, lets go have sex in the kid's room while we're there ? I know, let's F**K right on the spot they found Sharon Tate and her dead baby ??

Gotta agree with you there to an extent (explanation to come.) I've always told my husband I wouldn't mind buying a house that was a little cheaper than its neighbors due to a death. It doesn't bother me at all if someone dies somewhere. If we all avoided places because a death took place there, we'd be huddling in corners paranoid that we may have picked the wrong corner to huddle in. On the other hand, I couldn't live in the Ramsey house, but that is because I knew Patsy and Jonbenet. We were in the same pageants (a VERY long time ago and obviously we were in different age groups :)) so it would just feel a little...I don't know, weird I guess. It's the same reason I couldn't stay in my apartment after my roommate killed herself in it I think. It is tied to an emotional response. But, I would have no qualms staying alone in a house that my grandmother died in. Or a house that a stranger was killed in. I don't believe in the supernatural, so I wouldn't be worried about ghosts haunting me!

Um, ew. Saying you're comfortable purchasing a home someone was killed in is a far cry from saying you want to fornicate on the exact spot they died. A very far cry indeed. Someone who doesn't care what the history of a house is probably is not thinking about what spots certain things happened in, either. Is it possible you're the sick one in this equation? All signs point to yes.

Why should they tear it down? A house is a house. If we tore down every home with a bad history...well, then there wouldn't be many homes left.
