No wonder Blairsville is on the list, with ever increasing property taxes and government spending. Along with a sole county commissioner who thinks he is king of the world. Even the Floridians don't want to live here anymore.

Its them ole smelly Floridians. When they move in everybody moves out. Thay a lot like blacks an mexicans. Grass won't in a yard where they live. they have to lay new sod twice a year. Have you ever noticed the fancy cars they drive? When you see one with Florida plates look at it real close. Wherever they touch it often, the paint sluffs off. I gess it has something to do with their oily skin. Back when I was skinnin them regular. I always wore robber gloves to protect myself. Its to late now all the hill people are movin to better ground. I shore hate to see this area turn to little Cuba.

The reason Dillard and Mountain City is losing population is because it has no hospitials. You have to go 50 miles a way to get a ex-ray or some kind of medical test done.

And these two towns is starting to turn into Mexico. More homes are getting broke into. People's life savings stolen. Were is the border patrol? What ever happened to them?

And the police force for these two towns. All the police wants to do is chase speeders up and down the road. They don't care anything about investgating a crime. They don't even hsve a finger printing machine or a computer.

Now if you was a criminal this would be a good place to live place to live.

I love our hospital, I would trust the doctors and nurses no matter what was going on with me, we are very fortunate to have a hospital and good doctors.

It is logical with the housing bust that the population would decrease. Move-ins move out more than local people. They get frustrated with what they thought they wanted. I see the decrease as a good sign.

I agree that Dillard and the surrounding area has way too many illegals. What are they doing there besides evading arrest.
Dillard House hired a lot of Mexicans so we don't go there any more. Leave it to the tourists who don't care.

I love our hospital, too. The doctors and hospitals are good in Blairsville and surrounding areas. People just like to complain. I don't care if they go somewhere else because it makes it easier for us to get an appointment. LOL

And they dont care if you get appointment easier because their going to real doctors somewhere else while your seeing mostly rejects from medical school that dont know your feces from a femur.
Good luck when you really need medical care that counts. I'll send your survivors a sympathy card with directions to a real Hospital.

From Dillard and Mtn City approx twenty miles and you will be in Franklin at Angel Medical Center and they have a decent small hospital. The hospital in Clayton is closer but I am not too sure about staffing or equipt.

I have gotten very good care at Union General but do not expect a Piedmont or Emory in a small town.

I think that the answer is a lot simpler. Speaking as one of the folks who left that area--there are no jobs. Its not great in this area--but there it was (and is) sad. In two and a half years of applying for every job for which I was even remotely qualified-and literally begging for work-I had no electricity, no phone, no cable and was about to lose my house. I found a job in this area and moved.
Have to agree

Have to agree with you. A friend of ours is lucky to be alive after his Blairsville doc didn't diagnose him right. The only reason he is alive is because he went to Gainesville.

We're talking life and death here.

I have to agree with this. I have found a wonderful doctor here and am very happy with him.
