Gas prices high again! Isn't it about time the Democratic Congress has their semi-annual hearing with the executives of the oil companies and tells them how bad boys they are and that Congress might slap them on the wrist if they don't lower prices? It's the same old, same old. Gas prices rise, Congress looks into it with a very public hearing and gas prices mysteriously go back down. Of course by that time, the consumer has already pumped trillions of dollars into the pockets of the oil companies. let's stop the games. We're tired of hearing about all of the bad news in the world that is causing prices to rise and all of the down time that refineries are going through. The oil producing countries keep pumping oil no matter what and the oil companies need to plan on refinery down time cycles.

"Democrats won't allow refineries to be built". Well, the Republicans have been in charge for the last 12 years, including the last 6 with all 3 power positions, and how many refineries have been started in that time? The answer is NONE. New refineries mean taking away those excuses that we never used to hear but hear multiple times a year now about changing over for summer blends, and shut downs for maintenance, and anything else they cay dupe us with to cut the "supply" so they can raise the price. Remember all we hear is "supply and demand", and guess who's controlling it; certainly not any of us. The blame goes to Exxon, BP, Shell, etc., and to those of our government that have their hands full of money from it. Of course those of you driving SUV's and other vehicles with one person in them share in at least the blame too. IT'S NOT JUST A DEMOCRAT THING - THE STINK BELONGS TO BOTH SIDES OF THE AISLE!!!!

My company was thinking of opening a branch office in your town, but after seeing what you want for a business license ($135.00/year) we think other towns have more to offer. Greed will get you what you desirve. NOTHING!

If you think $135 for a business license is too high, I doubt you had any great expectations of making a windfall profit in Foley. Perhaps that $135 fee has saved your branch office from going South as well. Glad to hear that you are going elsewhere since Foley is not hurting for more businesses anyway.
