Fired El Segundo City Manager Doug Willmore is spreading a lot of false information and false accusations to fabricate support for his frivolous lawsuit against the City of El Segundo and against the three City Council members who voted to fire him and that he is suing individually.

He is trying to shake down El Segundo as he tried w/ Chevron. See the following web pages for more information:

Former El Segundo City Manager was fired for multiple good cause reasons, but when an at-will employee is fired, no reason is stated to reduce the exposure to frivolous litigation.

Willmore started fabricating a case for retaliatory firing after he learned he was going to be fired. He has been spreading lots of false information and false accusations to fabricate support for his frivolous lawsuit against the City of El Segundo and against the three City Council members who voted to fire him (he is personally suing each of them).

Willmore is trying to shake down El Segundo, just as he tried to shake down Chevron for an extra $10 million per year to pay for wildly excessive and unsustainable firefighter and police union salaries, benefits, and CalPERS pensions that he offered to the unions before he even let the city council and the public see the contracts.

What really needs to be investigated by the grand jury is all the campaign money and other campaign support the El Segundo Firefighters' Association (union) and the El Segundo Police Officers' Association (union) gave to former Mayor Eric Busch and former Mayor Pro Tem Bill Fisher, and how Busch, Fisher, and Willmore gave excessive contracts to the two safety unions. The contracts guarantee raises and even gave up the City's management right to determine staffing levels and have layoffs for three years during the bad economy. The contracts have cost the City millions of extra tax dollars per year that the city cannot afford.

Willmore went the news media and the district attorney with his false accusations, and tried to get a grand jury investigation initiated, to influence the outcome of the April 10, 2012 El Segundo City Council election. If he could get political allies elected as city council members he could get a big "settlement" to his frivolous litigation. That attempt failed. He is not trying to poison the jury pool and put pressure on the City to settle his frivolous lawsuit for a huge payout that he does not deserve.

It appears that Willmore is abusing public funds and resources for his own financial benefit.

Ironically, Willmore convinced the scandal-ridden city of Bell to hire him as their city manager after he was fired from El Segundo for multiple good cause reasons. I suspect the Bell city council members will eventually conclude they made a big mistake.

This is more Chevron-financed propaganda intended to smear Doug Wilmore for being competent at his job and looking out for city residents.

You can tell that's true because the poison pen writer says that the city council had "good cause" to fire the City Manager yet not even the Council has said what those causes were.

I hope the Grand Jury hgets to the bottom of this smelly mess and get some of those millions back that Chevron stole from us.
