No not necessary first home and family enviroment. Second is the type of friends they choose. I tell my son is not the school is the fool who makes the wrong decisions.

The schools (and most teachers) are fine. The problem is the students. If they dressed neatly, worn respectful hair styles, came to class every day, behaved themselves in class, and did their work, they would learn. The majority of bad ones make it impossible for the good ones to learn. Why do you think the rich and famous (including politicians) send their kids to private schools?

This is NOT the teachers fault. The voters failed our children.

Every one with an IQ above 50 is well aware that Californians voted to destroy effective Public Education in our State. Our once top rated Schools are now rated a pathetic 46th in the Nation.

The political choice to transfer massive resources away from our own least fortunate American kids to accommodate the masses of illegal alien colonists killed all hope for a great education and at least a shot at the "American Dream" for our mostly minority urban children in LA County.

It has nothing to do with the schools. Most of these so called "students" come from low class fatherless homes, and are just destined to bear children at early ages and be on public assistance for the rest of their lives!

Of course, you are right about the situation. California calls this being "progressive". It's easier than admitting that we failed our families and our State on a scale which would have been unimaginable to previous generations.

Nobody failed these idiots, they failed themselves. This is not only happening in California, but all over America! When you have unprotected sex and pop out babies at the age of 15 or even younger, you are destined to a life of welfare and poverty. What ever happened to the old fashioned notion that you should get married BEFORE you have children? Are these idiots just too stupid to learn how to put on a condom or take birth control pills, or do they just plan on milking money out of the pockets of hard working Americans forever?

You forget that Calif was one of the few States not to accept Bill Clinton's Welfare Reforms. You ignore the FACT that the Voters continue to Elect pro Welfare politicians who have made Calif. a mecca for shiftless, useless, types from all over the Nation. Now there are actual State of CA Vans driving around in bad/illegal infested neighborhoods signing up even more for freebies at the taxpayers expense in LA County.

Just as we Voted to be a magnet attracting Illegals by the millions, we voted to encourage welfare slugs to "choose California".

Hey anglo, more than any other State, California cares about poor people and immigrants! This is a State where the greedy wealthy people are forced to take care of poor families.
