hahaha. Daily Breeze, I love you. You have the charm of a small town paper with the technological prowess of a NY Times!

I imagine the conversation went something like this:

Larry: "We need a hard hitting photo to go with this story"

Tracy: "Hmmm, something that says...like....No Guns or Guns are bad"

Larry: "Let me do some Google Image searches on the Interwebz and see what I come up with."

Tracy: "You're so good on the Internets Larry, I follow your blog you know."

Larry: "Thanks Tracy, let me see here..."No+Guns" hmmmmmmm. Bingo! Found one, It's edgy and young. It uses the Ghostbusters symbol, but it has a gun behind it. The kids really like this Ghostbusters thing you know."

Editor: "Larry, this is why we pay you the big bucks! Run with it! Go to Print!"

While Kalifornia has some of the most psychotic gun laws in the U.S., this is over the edge. Not since the Police Chief in Hermosa Beach, have we heard of anyone selling stolen weapons in the South Bay.(Hmm, I guess he was just selling guns with the serial numbers removed, a problem for anyone else.)

In America, anyone with a valid ID can walk into a licensed gun dealer and buy a gun subject to the "Instant Check" and walk out with their purchase a little while later. In the People's Republic of Aztlan, you must pay a fee, take a test, wait 10 days and do a bunch of other silly things.

These guys were just selling hardware to anyone. And probably people we really don't like much. Kudo's to RBPD for reminding them of the law, but it remains to be seen if the joke we call the "criminal justice system" actually performs in any useful way here.

All in all this "gun control" silliness is just a way to protect criminals, elected or not, from their victims and protect the "rice bowl" of the bureaucrats with badges. We could have a lot better system which repressed real crime and enhanced personal liberty, but not with the current batch of liars and thieves who make up the Legislature.

More fine reporting from Larry Altman!

The headline hints at a major gun ring but the guns except for 2 are all registered and she inherited them. Does this make her a "gun dealer"?

Larry why not do a story on the white collar local city government corruption? These are the true crimminals stealing millions annually from taxpayers.

Hint: Look northside, height restrictions, variances, no bid jobs.

"Neighbors were not aware that people were selling guns out of the Redondo Beach home, but knew something was wrong when they saw people coming and going from the house at all hours of the day, Morgan said.

McCree was arrested on suspicion of illegal possession of an assault weapon, possession of a controlled substance while armed, and possession of a controlled substance. Her bail was set at $50,000

Quijada was arrested on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm, on a probation violation and warrants charging her with burglary and driving without a license. She was held without bail.

Flores was arrested on suspicion of being a felon and convicted person in possession of a firearm. His bail was $35,000."

I'm glad these people are off the street and not doing weird illegal things in the neighborhood anymore! Way to go, POLICE!

Too many gun haters in this liberal state....wait I thought we were in the USA? Maybe not with all of this gun control BS.
Get real guns don't kill people, people who don't respect guns do the killing and make it hard on those of us who know what guns are really for PROTECTION and hunting.

Good grief, the woman is selling the guns to pay for her meth addiction. She has help from a felon and a burglar. The majority of the guns were registered to her dead grandfather - not her.(why did DT say only two were not?- I got an idea on how that came about)

GG wrote: "Kudo's to RBPD for reminding them of the law" What the...? I have an uncle that is so far to the left he refers to 9-11 as an accident because he can't bring himself to just say clearly what happened. I get the same feeling here.

Ummmm, no actually in California convicted felons can't buy a gun from a licensed dealer. I think that's part of the point of this story.

Really? How so? I understand that lots of career criminals aren't stopped by gun control laws. But how exactly is a law that says felons aren't allowed to have guns actually 'protecting' criminals, as you say?

okay...what do you consider to be "real crime"? I'm sorry to hear that you think keeping gun sales in the hands of authorized dealers is such a disservice to the community.

This doesn't have anything to do with guns and hating or loving them.

This has to do with lowlife crackheads getting caught and hopefully removed from society, for whatever reason.

If you had any knowledge of how a newspaper is run, you'd know that the reporter does NOT decide what the graphic or headline is for their story ... but obviously you are ignorant of the newspaper industry. Chances are -- giving you the benefit of the doubt -- you were just using this forum as a lame attempt to be cute ... and you failed there, too.

The Constitution is pro gun, and in the hands of individuals. The collectivists read the well-regulated part to mean guns only in the hands of the military (senseless as part of a bill of rights). And now the military don't even wear guns to protect themselves, but in combat. If that army whack job had started flinging his bullets in south central, if he had been kicked out of the military, he would have been cut down in a heartbeat by every gang banger on the block.

There were people going in and out of the apartment day and night?
Maybe the police found a small amount of meth because the rest had already been sold.

You can conclude that if someone were to start shooting in church they can expect to be back at.

Well played but I doubt Larry made the call on the graphic. Still funny, though.
