Santa Fe sure has gotten more hostile since I lived there. Last time I was up there you could see all sorts of gang affiliation. Saw three squad cars respond to an assault in the lot right next door to the hotel I stayed at. They had a young woman cuffed against the car with multiple weapons spread out. One I was sure was a small semiautomatic. This is defiantly a town to have a CCW.

I am surprised this judge gave him that much; usually New Mexico is known for letting these criminals go with a slap on the wrist only. I got news for people like Flores; I live here in Dallas, Tx., and be aware, some of these aggressive drivers are surprised when they find themselves facing the barrel of a gun when they pull something like what this punk did..

A CCW is definitely a good idea...especially with nut jobs like "Dennis" and "Former New Mexican" running loose.

Sad state of affairs when passing somebody blocking a road almost gets you killed. Sure seems 5 years is a light sentence since he chased the people for over 40 minutes. Where the he!! were the cops. I have already seen a couple people here is Alamo that looked ready to go off the handle while driving.

Carrying a concealed Weapon. You need to have a permit to carry one. I have a friend that works with the Santa Fe PD. The town is very anti-open carry. It is a good thing in NM your vehicle is considered an extension of your home so you can carry concealed or in the open in you vehicle. Some places you need to be able to protect yourself in a situation like this one.

I posted a comment that never made it. I won't post again. I guess "they" didn't like my opinion even though I followed all terms and rules regarding posting comments. Hmmm makes you wonder, anyone else having this problem??

OK, the left lane is a passing and turn lane...not a lane to drive from EP to ABQ in at less than the posted speed limit. Especially when you have no peripheral vision and drive miles not realizing the car next to you is also matching your speed and you are keeping anyone from passing.
If you have nowhere to go stay the hell home! When you drive a car pay attention!

If all that you can comment about is my spelling, then you really need to get out more often. The typical response when you have nothing intelligent to say is to start name calling, so put down your comic books and ask your mother if it is OK to go to the library and read some real books.
