This is the 2nd dead body found in Pojoaque this month..the other was a hit and run. Very scary for those of us that live here in the Pojoaque Valley!

Our condolences to the Friday family and the Jicarilla Apache tribe for their loss. How doubly sad... that this is the second young man found lying dead on or near Pojoaque Pueblo land in just the last week? Was there alcohol and violence involved in some way in both instances? It appears likely. But we will probably never know for sure because these are both 'sovereign nation' cases. The public silence will be deafening....

I heard from a BIA rep. that it is actually "gang related" and he was murdered then dumped there. This is the third death that has occurred in the Pojoaque area within the last two weeks. Such a sad time for the valley. My condolences to the victims families.

Yah, it would be nice if Sheriff Solano would send regular patrols to our area. But he seems to like to come after the deeds are done.

Why do people always assume suicide, alcohol, gang related, and overdose. People a human life has been lost no matter how it happened. Lets not forget that they have loved someone behind. Someone that loves them and they have to read comments that do not matter that this point. As a mother I would not pass judgment on any ones death. I do have children myself and cannot predict what my happen to them. I would rather have someone say nice things about them or not say anything at all.

He was a good young man, I knew his father. He was from Dulce but had lived off the reservation for a number of years. Too many of our young people are passing so young. But I too grieve for the young man even though I didn't know him personally, I knew the family and his half brother is Ishkoten

My condolences go out to his family especially his babies. There has been unnecessary deaths in the valley but I wish opinionated people out there would wait for the evidence before making ignorant statements about Pojoaque Pueblo, who happen to consist of some really good people. Prejudice statements don't help the families that these tragedies have to endure. One more thing, just because things happen in Pojoaque does not mean it is on Pueblo Land. The lands are checker board which means there is Private Land mixed into Pueblo Land, and if this death took place on 84D in Jacona which is a land grant then it was not within the Pojoaque Pueblo boundary. So for those of you have made cruel and ignorant statements regarding this death and the others do your homework and be a little kinder before you write the next one.

If anyone should get real is You! Why are you so mean and ugly? Why don't you show your face to the family and tell them yourself? Outsiders like yourself who are so mean and ugly should consider themselves banned from the pueblo lands forever!

Reporting on the details in the paper can only hurt the investigation. Its terrible of the New Mexican to sensationalize every story. The reporter wants people to believe and is assuming this tribal member had issues. Is Auslander saying this tribal person was bad so just sweep this under the carpet. Terrible reporting. Have some respect for the victim's family.
