My sympathy to this man's family and friends. I'm sorry for your loss and I appreciate his service. I agree with you army mom. I know this happens a lot. I personally know a young man, a Marine, who is fighting demons both physically and emotionally and I worry about him. I wish the best for your sons.

That makes me so sad. I have a 25 yr old son in the Army. He's in Shindand & still has 9 mos to go on his deployment. I pray for our soldiers every night. They are very close to my heart & I know to God's heart, also. My prayers are with this young man's family. I am so very sorry for your loss.

This is not right, and all for an oil. I'm not saying that things like this can be completely stopped when war is justified, but it's not in this case. Things like this should serve to remind us of what our government is willing to do to procure oil rights and what we should do about it. No society can claim to be civilized and gloss over using people's lives like this to latch onto a standard of living.

I'm not connected in anyway to the military. I don't doubt for a minute what you say. My question is why doesn't the army or any branch of the military take more time, effort and concern to our them settle back into life. Is it shove them out there and hope they come back "sane". Is it they don't get help for fear of being bound out about.
I'm a concerned citizen.

I am so sorry about your brother. I read the post tonight and saw the article. It seems to me it's the same kind of demons that out Vietnam soldiers brought back with them. It's got to be tough.
Is it because there just isn't enough help when they come home. Is it they don't want anyone finding out they need help, the soldier themselves don't think they need help.
I keep my prayers on a daily bases for all of them.My adopted family had a young man just back from Af. He's doing better this time than the first time. WE didn't know what to do to help him the first time--national guard.
Please know that a whole lot of people to care about you and your loved ones over there. War is bad, no matter where or when.

Maybe if the USA would quit attacking other nations and spreading their sick evil armed forces worldwide...something would improve.

Just think, there are people out there defending your right to make cold and stupid comments. People that are willing to accept their fate so you can sit fat, dumb and happy and make an inappropriate comment without regard for the good people that are reaching out in this thread. If you are an American you should be ashamed of yourself.

I will pray for them. When I came back from war I also refused to get help. I found help later only after it affected my marriage. What helped me the most was staying away from alcohol and faith in God. Alcohol doesn't help no matter what they say. Get counseling, if not with the service get some with peers and the church. The key is not to give up and TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF, get help too. They need you healthy and strong. I have found groups that help me and have a person I can call when I'm down. There have been times I have cried on his shoulder. My son was in the military too and when we have get togethers I ban alcohol in my home and he has never seen me drink. God bless you and thank you and your sons for thir service.

My heart goes out to his family and friends. We are going to see a lot more of this I am afraid. My son has had 3 friends commit suicide in the last 2 years. My question is what are the local police doing to handle mentally ill soldiers? Are they getting any special training and if not WHY?

To the person complaining about our country you are free to go. While I did not support the Iraq war I do support what we are doing in Afghanistan. It is WAR and civilians are going to be killed but our soldiers are doing everything they can to train the ANA to protect themselves against the religious extremist terrorist that will return and attack our country if we don't do something first. They have attacked innocent civilians in almost every country why don't you bitch about them. Better yet leave this country and join them.

No it's you who mean nothing. Your opinion means nothing. If you had an ounce of maturity about you then you would at least not trash every thread on this board with your idiotic trash talk. You have a lot of nerve to call me sick you sick bastard.

How would you know? What have you done to protect your rights? What is they could do? You are nothing but a filthy cowardly leech that lives in freedom to make stupid remarks because some else made a sacrifice for you. On one point you are right. It is his nation, not yours. All you are is a parasite.

Sacrifice...what sacrifice...invading other countries and bombing the hell out of anyone we suspect.

Our soldiers are only as good as their orders.....our soldiers are nothing but invasion and occupational forces for a sick nation bent on REVENGE and blind with arrogance.

The USA is sick and its soldiers are killing themselves to prove how rotten their orders are.

USA GO HOME......your evil is no less evil than theirs.....go back and make cheeseburgers and wallow in obesity
