Why was there never a follow up to this? Why no trial, why 3 of the 4 arrested are on the streets?

Four people have been arrested in connection with the slaying of an El Paso man who was reported missing about two weeks ago, police said Thursday.
Adam Thomas Oury, 20, of the 800 block of Centennial in West El Paso, was last seen by his family on April 12.
Police believe that he was killed that day and that his body was dumped in the Doņa Ana County desert near the Santa Teresa Airport.
His body was found by investigators on Wednesday, the day four people were arrested in connection with Oury's death, El Paso police spokesman Officer Chris Mears said.
Arrested were Andrew James Cotto, 21, of the 5100 block of North Mesa; and Joseph Brandon Jones, 20, Ember Jean Schlieter, 20, and Roberto Octavio Corral, 18, all of the 7100 block of South Festival. Jones, Cotto and Corral were charged with murder, and Schlieter was charged with tampering with evidence.

Mears said Jones, Cotto and Schlieter were taken into custody in Las Vegas, where investigators suspect they fled after the slaying. They are expected to be extradited to El Paso.
Corral is being held at the El Paso County Jail in lieu of a $500,000 bond. The others are being held without bail at the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas.
Oury was reported missing on April 13.
His father, John Oury, said he sought help from police because it was unlike his son to disappear.
He said his son told him on April 12 that he would be spending the night with friends. During that conversation, his son told him he would call the next day to get a ride home. But the phone call never came.
On April 20, police turned to the public to try to find Oury after suspicions arose that foul play might have been involved in his disappearance, Mears said. On April 23, the Crimes Against Persons Unit took over the investigation.
"Their investigation led to the fact that Mr. Adam Oury, a 20-year-old male had been killed," Mears said.
The investigation also led to the four arrests and to the finding of the body in the desert.
"Their relationship with the victim was that they were acquaintances, friends," Mears said.
Mears declined to say whether the body was buried in the desert. But, he said, "there were efforts made by the people who committed this crime to conceal this crime."
It took two days for police to remove the body.
Mears said authorities took their time recovering the body because "it takes time to do that properly and be careful to make sure we don't miss any evidence."
Lt. Al Lowe, who oversees the Crimes Against Persons Unit, said investigators were waiting for autopsy results to get the cause of death.
Lowe said investigators suspect that a fight broke out at an apartment in the 100 block of South Festival, where some of the people arrested live. According to a police arrest affidavit, the victim and Jones got into a fight April 12 at the apartment.
During the fight, the victim lost consciousness and died while being choked, a detective stated in the affidavit.
Police said the Doņa Ana County Sheriff's Office is assisting in the investigation because the body was found in Doņa Ana County.
John Oury said he has never met the people police have arrested in connection with his son's death.
"I don't know who they are," he said.
John Oury said his son was the older of two children and a graduate of Sandia High School in Albuquerque.
He was single and was planning to enroll in college. He moved to El Paso from Albuquerque about seven months ago to follow his family, including his father, who moved to the city through a job transfer.
The slaying is the fourth homicide in El Paso so far this year, compared with one at the same time last year.
