I completely disagree.

There is zero religion in my family and every one of my kids turned out well. One does not need a "God" to guide one through life. Good and evil are real things. Religion is not.

While I can appreciate your stance and understand your convictions the clear message should be one of "Civil Right's" and the law's where we are all treated the same, without prejudice, and given the same protection. In reality the bottom line is one of legality and "Equal treatent under the CPL of NYS and Federal government. Those laws and the only binding concern any "Nay Sayers" should be directed to.

I object to how this story brings in Religion of any kind. The only right's you need to be concerned with are the rights given to you under NYS CPL and the Federal Bill of Right's/Constitution. Do you think you're better than another because they choose to live their lives differently? Don't you see how you discriminate? Here I have to strongly disagree.A child is not "Born with any idea of Right & Wrong". This is a learned behavior and is the very basic foundation of a parent's responsibility, not genetic's (unless there is a psychological disorder proven scientifically that is passed on). After acertain age the child begins to formulate and understand behaviors from all types of sensory reception including the community and the people they meet. This isn't a religious issue, yet most try and push it along as one. That's discrimination. Illegal under our laws.

since Faith and Religion are embedded in this society and every facet of our lives and this nation is even based upon Judeo Christian principles it is not hard to see that immorality at least judicially dictated are abhorrent to people in this nation

Actually, the people who rape children are usually just like you. Priests, coaches, and teachers often try to hide their predilictions in their religion.
