I see that someone has decided to shnghai my IDGAF. I'm sure you are smart enough to differentiate. Same person that posted as What? Maybe.
To the theif, get your own IDGAF. Make up your own acronym. Also, cut out the high school bad mouth. We are adults here, correct?

UrBS: Now I must take excetion with this one. The people you describe are criminals, with the exception of the dancers.
-my issue with this one is that these people are out making money, honest or not is a matter of moral beliefs. How different is this dealing than stealing money from investors or making a volatile housing market attractive? We need to put the morals aside and start thinking common sense. We spend a pile trying to fight a war on drugs that doesn't make sense. We have 2.5 million people in prisons. The taxpayer foots the bill. People make a lot of money off of both of these. Prostitutes work and collect money and don't pay taxes, but the public has to pay for their medical, welfare, etc. Time to legalize antimoral and collect taxes so that we are all paying taxes. Dancers in Tbars are making 100k+/yr and reporting 20k/yr. I'm good with them getting taxed like engineers. They drive nice cars and live in nice houses and do expensive drugs. We all need to pay.
URBS: Sorry but it still doesn't fly. We did not go to war for China, although if we keep selling off our debt to them we may have no choice.
-i never said we went to war for china, we went to war for American interests which are all over india, china and the like. The majority of oil from the middleast goes to china, india and eurpoe. We get less than 5 percent from there. Ours comes from canada, mexico and south america. Our debt is as follows: 65 percent Americans, 30 percent UK, 5 percent china.
URbS:The Navy protects much more than oil. They protect all manner of commerce. What oil sites are we guarding?
-i didn't state that we were guarding oil sites, they guard oil tankers across the ocean. Yes, they do protect other things as well.
URBS: I would not agree with this a we have yet, in recent history, to get any of those resoures you talk about. I would say it is political.
-it is in the interest of americans that india, china and the like get oil from the middleast. We don't want them to get into our stash. We have huge interests there. I'm not talking you and I. American companies. We will never get much oil from the middleast. Tell me who started ARAMCo. American interests are many. It's a complex game.
URBS: You were doing good up to the, "Fake Reason" bit. The problem is that these people are commited and even if our military is commited they are not allowed to wage war.
-there are many reasons, but ask soldiers if they understand why they went to afghanistan. They might say for freedom. Some might tell you that they guarded diamond mines. Some might say they guarded trade routes (opium). Others may say, they don't know. They followed orders. Ask a person defending their home why they fought. They were fighting for their lives. This is the difference between fighting with a cause and fighting with a fake cause. I believe deep in my heart that we do what we do cause we care, but I know that things are uglier than that.
URBS: keep in mind that many of those you just named as sworn enemies have been sworn allies at time. Maybe you and I were not in on the decisions or conversations, but we've used them in both ways.
Iran laughs only while we let them. We can easily crush anyone when we want to. This is a different world with a world economy. That means we must play nicely. We don't control everything anymore. Play nice or get isolated.

Why don't you get your own moniker and not steal other peoples?

"-my issue with this one is that these people are out making money, honest or not is a matter of moral beliefs."
That was my point. That as long as we keep these things illegal then there will be no taxes collected.
"i never said we went to war for china, we went to war for American interests which are all over india, china and the like."
The problem I have with this one is that those places you mention were getting that oil long before we got involved in any wars in te Middle East. I see that we went to war to protect our influence in those areas. To maintain forward area bases so we can keep our thumb on the pulse of the area. The second Iraq war in my opinion was for George to finish what daddy didn't. Afghan was revenge and most of the military I talk to seem to agree with that. Some of the percentages I found were a bit different but it really doesn't matter much as it is currently getting hard to sell tye debt to other countries. What I find interesting is that they list the US Government as holding 32% of the debt. That is funny as the US Government can not pay it back as they do not make money they only take what the US people make.
"Tell me who started ARAMCo. American interests are many. It's a complex game."
ARAMCO was started by a joint US and Saudi venture. Hence the name. The venture was jointly entered into with Saudi providing the majority of the capitol while the US Company provided the expertise. This is basically the same for a company known as Gulf Oil or Shell.
The Fake Reason thing is simply a matter of semantics. The way it sounds rings of the old liberal mantra that Bush invented false intel to start the war, even though that intell came from multiple sources and multiple countries. I see what you mean but I would have thought a more appropriate phrase would have been, "Abstract Reasons".
"Iran laughs only while we let them. We can easily crush anyone when we want to. This is a different world with a world economy. That means we must play nicely. We don't control everything anymore. Play nice or get isolated."
That is my point. We can crush that place anytime but do nothing. Iran is seen as thumbing their nose at the USA and that carries lots of weight in that region. We now have proof that they are supplying rockets to not just the Gola Heights but also to the Gaza Strip. This current US Regime has made multiple threats that they need to stop that as well as their Nuke program and they have followed through on none of them. The world economy thing is not an issue. No one in that area would give a darn if we leveled that entire country. The Saudis hate them, the Kuwaitis hate them, the Bahrainis hate them, the Qataris hate them, the Emeritis hate them. They are despised by other Arab nations in the area. In fact during the most recent Gulf War in Qatar the Air Defense Units were pointed toward Iran not Iraq.
As I said earlier we are viewed as a paper lion because we make empty threats.

I must correct you on one statement you made. In post #120 you said this,
"the oil is going to our strategic partners, places where we have huge interests, ever heard of china? Who owns most of the manufacturing there? American companies. We fight for oil whether you want to believe or not. Our navy escorts oil tankers religiously. We guard oil sites and other precious resources. Truth is not always pretty"
So you did indeed say that we guard oil sites.
