If it sounds too good to be true... People that get scammed are ones that are trying to "get one over". Greed gets you in the end.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of legitimate Mystery Shopping offers out there. I don't know that they are worth the time and effort put into it but I did some mystery shopping trips in El Paso that I was paid for doing. It's hard to tell the real from the fake sometimes. This is sad. And I disagree with Jaded-- people may be easy for scam artists to lead around but I don't think the victims are the ones trying to get one over.

I received the email for Mystery Shoppers Needed in El Paso and deleted it. I read about how they are scams and didn't pay much attention to it. How awful for people to have been victims of this scam
and be out the money!

Why must there always be dirt bags out there that want to steal from people?...and the people that fall for it. If it's too good to be true...it is. Period.

Good luck to those who lost money...I hope those con's get what's coming to them soon!

There was another scam like this about a couple of years ago. Anytime you receive an offer that involves you cashing any checks and then forwarding a portion of it elsewhere don't do it....no legitimate business is going to have anyone cashing their checks and forwarding a portion of the payment elsewhere.

I can't believe these people didn't think it was suspicious that they were overpaid by the thousands. There's a reason scams like these are made. Some people are plain stupid and will fall for the dumbest things.
