Editiorial mishaps on elections

["The El Paso Times Editorial Board's commentary, "O'Rourke wins: A step forward for El Paso," neither encourages El Pasoans to look forward to new leadership nor expresses appropriate gratitude for a departing congressman who dedicated most of his life to serving his country.
If I were O'Rourke, I would feel slighted that the Times attributed my victory to baseless allegations of public corruption and the machination of a Houston super PAC rather than my vision for the future or my political acumen.
If I were Congressman Reyes, I certainly wouldn't deign to pick up a copy of the Times again.
There's absolutely no doubt Congressman Silvestre Reyes served El Paso with fierce commitment to improving the lives of his constituency. He should be thanked with as much enthusiasm as he put forth working for El Paso.
What's more, Mr. O'Rourke now proceeds enthusiastically toward a general election with the hopes and ardor of his supporters behind him. If we truly are to look forward to his next steps, we should discuss his vision rather than linger on the controversies and far-off political influence that, according to the Times, led to his victory more than his promise of reform. This is what the supreme court of the united states has done to the citizens of Texas and of El Paso. They have unleashed a large number of super Pacs who donors are normally anonymous. This one however was known as to who was running the PAC. He states he was not backing O'Rourke but was against the incumbent no matter how good he was or what party he was in. He dumped over $50,000 into the race. O'Rourke did not say he wanted the attention but he did not ask the person to stop either. The times editorial board has been ungracious to Silvestre Reyes and O'Rourke.

Last night around 9:30 or so I saw a man running partially nude down my street on the west side. I didn't get a great look at his bare buns but he was yelling and carrying on. It could have been related to the full moon, no pun intended, because these Lynanthrope society people love to hoot and holler and celebrate once a month. I'm not saying it was definitely you, JW, but I have reason to think it was. If you can either confirm or deny this, I would appreciate it. And if anyone else has stories to tell of wild activities, streaking, mooning or or any other sort of ballyhoo happening last night, please feel free to share.
