No matter what ya call it,
City council is looking to stifle citizen input.

I agree with this article. I can't make heads or tails out of much of the amendments which is why I have appealed in here for someone to explain them to me. I didn't fare too well in school which is why I ended up in the Navy and which is why I am adamant that kids today learn a trade and not focus on college. As proof of my ignorance, I didn't even realize that GM hadn't paid back the bailout money until some kind person in here told me otherwise. So let's have these amendments written at a third grade reading level, preferably in crayon, so that people like me can make an informed vote.

It is no wonder that you can't understand them fool. Your a liar, Thief and coward. Never served in the Navy or any military service.

I will vote now on the recommendations of two groups that the amendment be scraped and reformulated to have only on idea per amendment.

New Amendment: all elections for city offices to be changed to the first Tuesday after the first Monday of an even numbered year to match the national election.

New Amendment: All elected officials will get a pay raise of 5% effective on 2016 and 5% there after every even numbered year until the raises equal to $10,000. upon reaching that amount all elected official will be required to be in their offices five days a week 8 hours a day. All outside employment to be ceased until they resign or are voted out or their term limits expire.

New amendment: The office of City manager will be eliminated and the Mayor will take over as before. All projects over $20,000.00 will have to be presented to the voters for approval.
That should be all the amendments allowed.

I think we should allow as many amendments as needed like they do in the Senate. Ted Cruz recently offered a beautiful amendment and it brought tears to my eyes. Too many neanderthals want to limit debate, which is the sign of bigotry and self- loathing. I am fully confident in my manhood which is why I carry around an entire box of condoms in my glove box.
