IT is too bad the Picture was shown as an opening here in El Paso when it should have been shown in New Mexico where there are more people who would understand the film. Witches are a staple of the poor Mexican deities. They go to get quick fixes and they really have to believe in the fixes not unlike voodoo.

I saw the movie and wept like a baby. It's beautiful and touching and moving. You must be an insensitive old fool to not appreciate it.

Lois, come find us on Facebook. We have a movement going to get the movie released across theaters in New Mexico. The admin who launched is from the town of Santa Rosa, NM that inspired the book. It was started 7 days ago. We have fans from across the US and growing daily. They are all asking for this movie. I also went to the premiere and cried probably more than you! Antonio's childhood was the same as my father as a kid living on the ranch and going to school in town. He was shamed in the schools for speaking his native language and his generation taught the next generation English first which is a huge blow to preserving a culture with great knowledge. As you well know, Ultima was NOT a WITCH. Parts of the people's lives were fictionalized for a novel for dramatic effect. But I'm not going to bother changing the mind of the ignorant about what he calls a witch, that's between him and the divine grace. My grandmother was very knowledgeable in herbs, but was not a curandura. However for a long time she wore her hair in the style that Ultima did and seeing Ultima on the big screen was like seeing my grandmother. Back in those days, they were very poor but full of heart and integrity and so connected to the land and their communities. It was simpler and harder way of life but I know from my own family that it built amazing character in the people. Please copy and paste the first part of your quote here, I'll be looking for you!!!

El Paso is notorious for witch hunts and putting innocent people to death row, like David Leonard Wood and Marilyn Manson who they ran out of town. Remember

Can I get it on that too or is the offer only for Latinos? I'm lily white myself but know a few Catholics and want to know more about this deal.

The only way you're lily white is on the inside. Bet there is a big yellow stripe down your back.

Me and _Arrrrrr went on a date to see this wonderful Mexican movie. But I must admit I didn't see too much of the movie because me and _Arrrrrr sat in the very back row and had wonderful jotosexual sex together during the movie.
