They should cut whatever needs cutting. The schools can do with less. I spent twenty years at a local school district and the amount of waste is painful for the average taxpayer. Whoever and whatever provided school supplies would be hearbroken to know how they were used. Huge series of textbooks were purchased and then just simply forgotten. As for those teachers they spent more time gossiping than they did teaching. The entire staff at every school was the same from the janitor to the cook they all spent more time using and wasting the taxpayers money.

Texas should be ashamed for putting education spending near the bottom of the 50 states. Yes we can spend better but really what are our priorities? Education is what moves civilization forward and pass knowledge from one generation to another and we now have children less educated than their parents in a lot of cases. Making generalizations of all teachers is wrong also. Making the gap between the rich school districts and poor districts greater shows that the governor really does not care because he does not get votes from these areas anyway. What a sad year for our state government.
